I was outside the car standing at the engine with the bonnet open, and my dad started the car up. With the keys at the stage before the engine fires up, i heard a kind of buzzing noise coming from the rear(nearest bulkhead) of the engine.

It stays on for approx 20secs then "clicks" off.

It might have always done this, but from inside the car with the bonnet you cannot hear it normally.

Any ideas?? *-)

Cheers guys. ;)

That's not the throttle body. What you are describing is the auxillaty water pump which stays on for a while after you switch the car off to circulate the coolant round a bit more. Mine has always made a noise, not sure if they are supposed to be silent.
