Sorry wrote out a massive update but only about 10% came out! so I rewrote it but a lot shorter above! It's ok it was only about £200 remember, so we'll have to go without a sink or something!
Oh and back on the road!

Got a few more bits done this week, not as much as I would have liked as works been busy and I've been waiting on bits including the longer belt for the charger that's coming from America and is silly expensive!
Popped into the local pirtek to get a new fittting for the oil return into the sump and ended up with a complete new oil return; a
Changed the plugs and leads while it was all apart and 3 or 4 of the plugs weren't much more than finger tight which may explain it being a bit down on power at the rolling road day?
Then got the schrick back on there;
And realised how much of a different angle the throttle body is with the Schrick! So had to cut the boost pipe that had just been paintedand re-angle it; it's just tacked in place for now until I get the belt.
Also bought an R8 oil cap as I'm trying to break up the sea of black with a little bit of sparkle!
And spotted some strut top mount covers the other day so ordered a pair to help neaten things up;
At the moment it's looking like this;and not looking very likely that it's going to make it to Springfest next week . Gutted!

Unfortunately still waiting for my new aux belt and after the email I just got from ecs in the states will be for another couple of weeks, so got some other little bits done on the car including getting these painted at last, really didn't like em in white and thought they'd look to similar to my wintercults in silver so gold it was! Got them prepped over the last week or so, they were a bit rough round the edges not with damage just the finish, which I suppose is because they're motorsport wheels more than show wheels. So had to give em a bit of love.............. Worst job ever rubbing down in between those little spokes!
Then put a little bit of primer (which happened to be white in the gun)
Then the oven was empty at lunch so got them in there,
A bit of basecoat; Was tempted to leave em like this or put matting agent in the clearcoat, but thought f~<k it I've spent that long rubbing them down I want em shiny! they're not perfect but they'll do! Now just need a couple of tyres and to get em on!

I went for AVO gtz kit and im very impressed with the results, easy damping adjustment and when they developed a fault, play in the top bush, they couldn't be more helpful!

Ive got myself a Schrick manifold to go on in due course, how have you routed the HT leads? as the manifold seems to just leave them to flap about like a sausage in a bucket.... some kind words of knowledge or pics would be great

F paying a garage to do it, you never learn if you dont do it yourself!!!

Yea it would be a nice change in my luck.

Cheers man, the pedal feels really slack until about 3/4 down so hopfully just the fluid needs bleeding

I've got the same problem, but I haven't had time to sort it out yet!! I posted about it a few months ago and big j was very helpful. Go into vr6oc hangout, then discussion and type in "low biting point" into the search at the top of the screen (I am using tapatalk) then it should be the 8th one down. You should find this very helpful.

Air would be perfect, as the roads around here are aweful! And I could deck it at shows n meets. But I cant justify buying air ride at the price it is, specially as the misses doesn't know I buying about £500 worth of suspension. £2599 would make her head explode!!!
