    Had the coilovers off my car at the weekend for a good clean. Now the threads are dirt/rust free, what's the best way to protect them from being covered in s**t again? Ideally so I can adjust them lower when the time comes? Copper grease be any good?

    Could you recommend a place to get the r32 bushes from? And also which make is good I.e febi etc. I went on vwspares.com and they only have meyle, and at £6.32 each it seems a lite cheap. And from experience if you buy cheap you buy twice!

    Nice on I'll have to look into that! I'll probably leave the ARB just now as it's quite expensive considering it's nearly half a months wage. Apprentice wages suck. Cheers for you help:)

    Cheers for the reply mate. Are the R32 bushes a direct fit? And take it it's just the standard R32 bushes? Also do you have any recommendation on which ARB to go for?

    Hi guys, looking into upgrading some aspects of my golf handling. Done a quick search on here but couldn't find an answer to my questions. First of all, is it worth polybushing the front wishbone? I already have them off for cleaning. Also while I have the front in bits is there anything else anyone could recommend that I change while I'm at it? ARB? Poly top mount? Cheers

    Hi mate. Haven't really set any show in particular. Just wanting to see who and what's out there. I'd like to go to edition 38 at the end of August. Car should be ready by then. How far is Durham from Leeds? Wouldn't mind getting a few folk from up here. Aberdeen/Dundee/Edinburgh/ borders area to travel down with but unsure if there are many members from those areas on here!

    Having a bit of a problem with the seats in my golf, they don't seem very secure in the runners. The runners are solid and the seat is firmly in place but there seems to be a lot of play in the fit. This small white bit of plastic falls off/won't stay on whenever I slide the seat into the runner. Is there any way to solve this? Or has anyone else had this problem and found a solution? This is the bit of plastic that comes off.. Thanks in advance:)

    Nice one. The dimmer is fully up aswel. Is there any way of getting them brighter? Unless these bulbs will help..

    Hi guys, as I'm stripping down my car to clean/replace and tidy up some parts, I'm going to remove the plastic trip as it's OBD1. What's the best way to go about removing the trims, so I don't damage them, and also so it's easy to put back on? The arches look easy enough, just a few rivets? But the skirts on the other hand look like a pain. One is slightly off as it is and I can't get it to clio back in place. Any help/advice would be perfect. Cheers!

    Hi guys! I've decided to start gathering parts to turbo my VR, going to start with the turbo and build around that. Reading through the posts on here like the DIY turbo build.. And the GT30 or 35 pop up a few times. Along with others like the T3/T4.. Am I right in thinking this..http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/141009327195 would be suitable? The price looks decent, but is that cause it poor quality and will blow? I'm looking for 250-300bhp, not keen for changing internals so plan on keeping power lowish. Any input would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

    So if I have an early VR with 280 brakes, do I need to upgrade the hub to a mk4? Or just need the callipers, carriers, spacers bolts new hoses etc? Thought I understood but the more I read the less I know haha

    Done the foam thing and it's worked fairly well.. Few creaks still but packed the contact area out and seems alright now. Is there a better way for securing the door cards on, other that the standard clips and two bolts on the handle? I.e screws along bottom or something? Passenger one likes to pop off from time to time

    Looking at a set of banded steel wheels, but they are 8.5J fronts and 9.5J rear. Unfortunately the guy doesn't know the offset, I take it being steel wheels the offset would be quite high? Or am I wrong? Either way.. Would 9.5 fit? Seems a bit too wide to be honest. I've seen a few cars run 10 on the rear but could remember offset details! Any input would be greatly appreciated! Thanks. They are 16" if that helps and I have an early VR with plastic arches..

    Having a browse through threads for mk3 wheels as I'm looking for a new set.. And came across these but couldn't find what they were! I though they were bbs ssr or something but I was wrong! Any help?

    Nice one, will have to give that a go. How did you go about attaching the seat foam? Superglue?
