  1. Isn't that only obd2 mate? I have steel hoses already paceo
  2. So after upgrading my from brakes to 312mm from 280mm and replacing front and rear hoses with stainless ones I'm having trouble with getting the brake pedal right. I've bled the brakes about 3 times now. Doing the right sequence and also making sure that the small box on the rear axle is compressed. Can't rmenever what it's called. So where do I go from here? I'm fairly sure there isn't any air in the system as I've followed all the correct steps and even used a bleed kit. Could anyone shed light on this? Cheers
  3. Tonight I went to change my rear seats as I sold the ones in my car. I went to fit the new recaros in the back and the seats are too narrow. Hard to explain but the bit where the two seats meet on a bracket, they are both about an inch short. This pic might help explain.. Any ideas what I should do? The seats came from a mk3 so no idea what's wrong. Cheers
  4. I have a set of corrado speedlines I'm away to sell. If you PM me your number/email I can send you pics and we can come to a deal? Cheers
  5. Looking to ship a full car interior(front + back) to Jersey from mainland Uk. Does anyone know a decent courier that won't charge a fortune? Paisley freight are wanting £120, which isn't bad considering the weight/size but still a fortune. Any recomendations?
  6. Thanks mate! Little update coming soon..
  7. I'll have to give this a try with a spare lock and key I have. If all goes well ill do it on the car. Cheers Lukey!
  8. Never knew that. Could be good to see how! I've managed to get a working set of locks for doors and boot. So I only have 2 keys now which doesn't bother me. Cheers for,the help guys.
  9. Just done exactly this and it's stopped the rubbing. Happy days=D cheers for that mate!
  10. If I undone the two bolts at the bottom of the suspension strut, would I be able to pull it out a bit? The top of the wheel is catching on the bracket that holds the ABS wire for the sensor, and don't want to damage that driving to the place for my alignment, which is about 10 miles away
  11. Yes mate they are. Sadly don't have any info on the retrim but according the the last owner it was fairly expensive. Can see why though as they are really well done:)
  12. This is the second time this has happened now, and I'd like to know why. Recently had the front suspension off for a clean up etc, and when I put it back on the passenger front has a lot more camber and also a lot more toe in than the right. The right is unchanged from before the strip and build. Could anyone shed light on what I may be doing wrong during the rebuild? An alignment sorted it last time but I'd still like to know. Thanks:)
  13. Sorted thanks to 'sep' Cheers buddy!
  14. Ye mate, it was just the bolts I need. But I've decided that funds are allowing me to get the braided hoses just now. Got a set on eBay and emailed the guy to make sure the bolts come with the hoses:) up here in aberdeen there is a serious lack of places to get parts. Halfords are rubbish and the other places there is aren't up to much either:( Cheers for the help guys!
  15. http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/231141651930 This would do ye?
  16. Confused to which kit I should get as I've done the conversion.. The only kits I can find that come with a suitable banjo bolt are the braided lines for the rear brakes. Looking on eBay, awesome gti, vw spares etc and can't find something. Or maybe I'm just being daft!?
  17. Looking for a pic of the back of this when fitted..
  18. Had to change my boot lock as I didn't have a key for it and I'm struggling I get it to work now. Could someone send me a picture of their boot lock in place with the key in and also with the key pushed in? Hopefully seeing this will give me a good idea of how it should look. Cheers:)
  19. Just done a 312mm conversion on my early VR and struggling to find the banjo bolts for the new brake hoses. Tried eBay but didn't come up with any. Does anyone have some kicking around or know where I could get? Cheers
  20. Update continues.. I also purchased a 312mm brake set up for a good price Pics of it all fitted up with washers as a spacer. Will make a proper plate at work before MOT Painted the calipers also Next is to get braided hoses for the brakes when funds allow. Today's job will be dismantling the rear suspension to clean it up in the same fashion! In others news, I've purchased a holster HX35 to begin the turbo build:) Apologies for the long winded update and rubbish pictures. Hope at least one of you guys enjoy it! Cheers!
  21. Thought I'd give this an update since it's been a while and I've done a little bit of work. Would like to apologies in advance for the poor pictures, a combination of iPhone camera and working in a public underground car park has ruined any chance of a decent photo! First of all was the dash, the old blue/purple one was removed and a mint black one replaced it. Made a massive difference to the interior. Chuffed with it. also replaced the steering wheel. Not to everyone's taste but I like it! After this, a set of banded steels came up on gumtree and I snapped them up, as I'm going for a more
  22. Do the washers go in between the bush and the subframe? Can see that being a total pain. And also the small collars for aligning the bolts, where do they sit? Can tell this is going to be a pain haha
  23. Just got my Polybushes fitted to the wishbones. Fitting them back on the car this weekend. The kit includes 2 large washers and 2 small metal collars, says for aligning the bolt? Nothing like this came off though. Is this just specific to the powerflex bushes?
