Lovely car and welcome. Where in surrey are you from?

It's very rare but there are a couple about. If I remember rightly when my mum bought her polo vw was trying to flog her a new mk3 gold for a knock down price and that was in 2000. I think there is someone on ukmk3s that has a w reg

-

I haven't man! To be fair, I have never had a car with paintwork good enough to get in to detailing lol!
And remind us what you do for a living dan.... Lol, I know the first job I'd do on any of my cars if I had a business like yours
-
Ah ok cheers for that info dan, I'll have to see how it is when I've got my new suspension, I won't change the splitter if I don't need too

Still really comfy, infact a bit too comfy as I end up wearing it too work so may have to order another one at some point lol
I'll get my mrs to write a review as no doubt she will steal it! Why do women always nick our hoodies!Cause it smells of you !! And they are comfy
As mentioned above I wear mine to work so smelling like me at work may not be such a good thing being a tree surgeon, sawdust petrol, oil and it can get a bit warm hoisting your self up and down trees all day lol

There's a website, think it's something like www.tyrestretch.com if not have a search on Google. It has a lot of pics of different diameter and width wheels with various tyres stretched on them sent in by people. I found this very helpful

Managed to do a few things over the Christmas holidays. Was hoping to do a lot more but I had to have my dog put to sleep on Monday so that put everything to a halt managed to get the seats in and the door cards. Not sure if I prefer it with my old leather door cards or the new alcantara ones yet though.
Think I may end up dying the alcantara a bit darker shade of red too.
Also fitted my black sun visors and black passat grab handles.
Not sure why I bothered fitting it all as its all going to have to come out again, just itching to see how it looks I guess.
Also managed to source and pick up some lc9z wings as mine where totally rotten which was a shame as the rest of the paint work on mine was awesome.

Basically i have two sets of seats, non heated and heated. What would I have to swap to turn my non heated seats into heated seats?

That would have been true but I've been single for a few months now so I no longer have a woman to have to lie about prices too, now it's just my parents and that I'm not going to buy any more car parts and take up any more room in the garage if only every one else shared our obsession!!

An awesome job of rescuing it too bennyk.
I think this topic would be better named love at first sound lol. I instantly fell in love the first time I put my foot to the floor and heard that roar and felt it pull away, it will always be a treasured memory too
