hey folks, just thought id let you all know i will be driving the missis over to the hospital at 7.30 in the morning to give birth to our first child, she is coming up to 2 weeks late and will need to be induced really cant wait to see our little boy! we are so excited and i dont think i will sleep a wink until then! im preparing myself for a long labour! anyways have a nice day everyone and speak soon

when i was looking for mine anything around the 1k mark is in my opinion is a bit of a tatty one that needs work, anything from £1500 upwards tends to be the nicer ones the milage seems a tad high on the one your gonna be looking at, but i guess it depends on how its been looked after, i think the main thing you got to look out for is whether the engine timing chain has been done and all the usual service history blah blah blah

cheers for the replies folks there is a 6 pin connector on the reverse side of the cover am i right that if this isnt connected then the airbags wont be functional? i do know the car had a abs issue in that the abs light on the dash didnt light on when the ignition was on, but i had the abs senor wire resoldered(someone or something had snipped the wire) and the abs works fine now

hi folks, im looking to change a piece of my dashboard, it is the part next to the headlight switch(the one with the pictures of the abs and airbag) and somebody has drilled a nasty hole through it, when i removed this piece there was like a connection on the back which isnt connected to anything so my question is- what is it supposed to be connected to it? cheers and if anyone has a replacement for sale with no holes in please let me know cheers

hi folks, finally got my mk3 vr on the road today and already the ride is doing my head in, its lowered on springs, can anyone recommend what would be best option for me? im not really a show person and idealy id like my car to sit and ride on standard suspension, but seeing as i havent posted enough to post a wanted thread up i thought id do this instead and if anyones selling standard springs can you please let me know cheers

took me about a week over xmas to find mine, gave myself a budget around 1k and looked at what was closest on ebay and bagged the 2nd one i looked at, main criteria was that it had to be a highline model, as i wasnt paying much for one i didnt expect a perfect one, it drives well, bit of rust on the doors, i like it

hi folks! the forza series easily kicks gran turismo into touch, the best online racing to be had is on forza 2 due to the fact it was simple and it worked, but the main thing with forza 4 is the leaderboard where you can try beat each others times i mainly play forza 4 and modern warfare 3, ive not played battlefield to comment as of yet

im expecting our first child in february and the other half has been moaning at me to get a bigger car as our current car (toyota aygo) simply isnt going to cut the mustard with the boot barely able to fit my gym bag in there! so anyway i decided on a golf vr6 highline due to it qualifying for classic insurance, i liked my friends 3 door and was impressed with it, and lastly the noise so the search began a few weeks ago, ive only viewed 2 localish ones, one was a rusty bag of nails with some nice grinding noises coming from the engine, and the 2nd one i viewed and bought bodywork wise was good

Hi folks, I went to view a P reg mulberry 5 door vr6 today and I was quite pleased with the overall condition with it until my friend pointed out that the abs light wasn't coming on when ignition was on. Whilst on the test drive the car had no abs and no traction control despite my best efforts to trigger them. Is this a common problem and what are the likely causes and remedies. Thanx E
