  1. What a tool....... Mind u that's the best thing to do to a sub IMO.
  2. Right, I'll explain. The manifold has a fluted styles end with a loose flange. The adapter plate I'm talking about bolts directly on to the de cat flange and is exactly the same size and shape etc. There are holes drilled into the adapter flange to match the holes on the loose flange on the manifold. In the fluted end of the msnifold you put one of those tapered exhsust bush thingy mibobs, and the adapter plate fits onto that which is all fine. Problems start when you try to tighten the bolts in because they bottom out on the flange of the de cet pipe. You can't cut them as the two flanges are
  3. That's all well and good, but how can you compress the spring on the bolt to get it in the holes as there is too much resistance from the spring.......?
  4. Guess it's just me then fellas....
  5. Anyone ever had an issues sealing the manifold and decat joint? I've got the correct adapter plate, only thing is is that the bolts don't seem tonwind in far enough as they bottom out on the decat pipe flange. I'm thinking drilling a hole so the bolts can wind thru. This should allow it to clamp up better. Any body ever experienced this problem? The de cat pipe and the manifold are both made by the same company so I can't see why there should be issue. Cheers in advance peeps

  10. Sounds just like my sthil hedge trimmer when you put v Power in it! Lol I know where ya coming from with the sound as some of the 3 pot corsa's I've heard sound like weedy v or straight 6's!
  11. It is very good and long lasting but hard work. Indeed, but the results are better than any polish I have used before and worth the extra dollar imo
  12. I see a trusty pot of autoglym high definition wax. Good stuff that.
  13. Fair comment. It's very much trial and error. If you are wanting to remove swirls you'll need a fine finishing compound. Farcela g10 is a good starting point or something equivalent. Start by using the machine at low speed with a small amount of compound. Use plenty of water on the panel as this will aid cooling and prevent burning through as easy.
  14. If you are simply using it to apply and buff off polish then then you won't go far wrong. There are loads I'd buds on you tube on how to machine polish. Problems arise more when you start using compounds etc in regards to swirling and burning through.
  15. As bungy says. Orbital polishers can be hard to operate and you can end up with very messy paint work if your technique is wrong. Bit trying to out you off just a word if warning from someone who's had a go, made a mess and spent many an hour practicing to get it right.
