just drained all oil from sump no problem then moved to taken off the housing case for the filter and realised that the 6 mill allen key bot is rounded off .........had to just tighten sump nut up again and put fresh oil in as need use of car!!! any ideas how to loosenen this alllen bolt now ??????????? will i lose all fresh oil when i do eventually change the filter???????? thanks

thamks for replys fellas sort of got 2 answrs there lol so what ya saying is make sure ignition is off and battery stays conected and can u change the wheel without disconnecting the air bag??? thanks

ok cheers people what is vagcom im confident changing wheel just dont want to have take car to vw and get charged threw the roof just to turn a little light off

hello just fitted new motor and mech taken fromm a gti i have just fitted it and have a problem with window it work gos up and down but is rubbing on something so isnt quite right it got dark so was a bit rushed but all 5 10 mill bolts are lined up window gos half way down then gos auto to down and then starts struggling and seems slow to go back up any ideas people gonna try tweek it in morning !!! just want it perfect -

where are these wing nuts havent seen them are they under bonnet at top of suspension mounts or do ineed take wheels off to do this ......been told its simple but struggling mate new tyres are 205 40 17 s

cars drive lovely until i corner sharp and hard then scrapes badly am half handy with cars just never dealt with coil over s before i have small tool which when i got sold car was told it adjusts ride hieght they are g max coilovers ive seen the thread and sort of dial that looks like it should move on suspension (if thats what its called ) how easy are they to adjust as just need a few mill to stop scrubbimg the car didnt do it at all until i fitted new tyres ( what a difference a few mill makes !!) just wanna raise it a slight bit ??? be helpful for some input ? also keep seeing vr6,s with

keep seeing and it parked next to me outside halfords 2 door dark blue or black vr6 very nice and clean with white porshe wheels on also a bright green vr6 with a girl driving seen near boreham interchange also very good looking ??

hi guys just called a local company who specialise in remaps they are claiming they can take my vr from 174 bhp to 193 bhp with their remap is this likely ??????all i have done at moment is induction kit janspeed backbox and bosch super 4 plugs ive read onhere alot that a remap doesnt produce hardly any extra bhp is this true or does it depend on the people doing the remap???? because i think 200 quid for an extra 19 bhp is well bloody worth it !!!!!!!!

just a quick qeustion my drivers side electric window isnt working i can here it clicking so must be power running to it .............i just wondered will the rear drivers side motor fit the same as the front???? was thinking just swap them over as never need rear window open or vary rarely

hi guys recently purchased my vr6 it is my first vw and am very happy with it its a 1997 four door in black not sure if its obd 1 or 2 any way it has performance filter and back box i think ...not full system i just want to know is mine a obd 1 or 2 and is it true the early vr6s are 174 bhp and later ones 185 bhp so what would mine be and my main answer is i want 200bhp is it possible to acheive this with a re-map i see theres a bloke on here in colchester essex who does re maps (jim potter) as im in chelmsford its not far and has anyone used him for a re map and was it money well spent .....
