  1. Well I did manage it in the end its still not 100% but to all that have this problem. Use jubilee clips on all the hoses, replace old hoses if necessary with newer ones and above all make sure that all the O rings are new if possible. Use gasket glue, dont go mental, but it does seem to improve and hasnt caused any problems that I know of. Finally, Start and run the car to operating temperature. The housing is plastic and so are all the seals so it made sense that they would need warming up to expand and completely seal everything. Like i said still not 100% seal but as near as makes no differ
  2. ive used the guid in the members section and unfortuanately that guy had it easy. im having trtouble sealing my thermostat housing and its really starting to annoy me cus if it aint sealed then im pretty much back to square one. so i bought a whole new housing and thermostat and 2 new o rings to go on the seal for the block and the thermo, ive even used gasket glue on the 3rd time out because it was still leaking. 4th time in and i though i had cracked it, every seal has pretty much got gasket glue to seal correctly, yet somehow i still have leaks. unbelievable. It doesnt seem to be coming fro
  3. Ah well they were going cheapish I thought it was worth a try but oh well. Cheers forthe reply though matey
  4. Im looking at a pair of mk4 anniversary 18" alloys and im just wondering if they will fit under the arches? Its lowered on coilevers so there shouldnt be much worry on height really but are the wheels themselves going to be too big? Will they scrub or will they affect the car in any other sort of way (gearing?) - 225/40 ZR18 92Y, 7.5 x 18 inches, PCD 5x100 and with an offset of ET38.
  5. The noob opinion for me is that charging is relatively easier than turbo and cheaper, but ultimately slower. If your new to vrs it was probably the sound that got you here and if that's the case the supercharger would likely be your best bet, my personal favorite and power delivery is consistent, while if your looking for end game and power or the option to do so then it will be easier in the long run to go turbo. It's what you want that should decide what you go for.
  6. And on another note anyone else a bot let down with the choice of cars? 1200 is great but only like 100 premium cars and the best are all normal and even worse unmodifyable
  7. I don't think the pad is that bad to be honest a wheel can't be £300 better can it?
  8. I thought that I was reasonably competent but it seems I may have been overconfident, just using a standard pad though can't even afford the wheels
  9. Car looks fantastic, got to say that smoothed spoiler really does the job.
  10. Ah that's not as bad as I first thought still a whole second quicker. Probably 100s of places in it too. Not fond of the 370z either
  11. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ftlZhxdg9mY - the guy does a fast lap at the end but its still 2:17 i think the rank 1 was close to 2:10 wasnt he? Thats a whole 7 seconds from what looks like a near perfect lap but like can taking a different line really improve by that much?
  12. Having never had the chance to drive a Rado and being younger the only viable option for me was the golf, but stylewise ive always had a soft spot for them plus you only ever here them moaning about the handling being better, so once thats sorted there cant be much in them can it?
  13. I think it might be finished now but the registration was on the PS3 GT academy dedicated site, it was a bit awkward but it was so you got the right track and leader board I think, you didnt miss much it was solid to place a ranking time
  14. Did anyone manage to set any times that were anywhere near competitive? Think the best i did was 16 seconds behind the last time I checked around 2:20 at the very fastest which was miles off!
  15. Ok defo check those then, cheers for the info, gonna attempt at easter time when im back from uni and have tools
  16. Thats probably one of the most honest listing on ebay to date.
  17. Awesome video mate some sick cars there. But if top gear has taught me anything its that you need a C4 for camera skills. Top marks!
  18. My old clio was held together with cable ties, but it was a good run around for a first car and hopefully still is for someone else! Athough it is now in Birmingham.
