  1. Right most of you know that I was building a VR rat twist after I found a pic on Facebook of what I thought was photo shopped but looking on the internet I've found out the car is real. Now I don't know what to do, I don't want to be seen as copying someone else. Do I carry on or change?????????? I know some of you probably won't like it but I like that people don't http://www.tuningsuche.de/bilder/VW-GOLF-III-1H1-11-1995-von-Dirty-Harry-17747_o0.html
  2. Don't do that to me I thought you were closing for good!!! What will happen with all the old content will I lose my build thread lol???
  3. Looks like I'll have to set the recorder too. There's a new series of fast and loud just started in the US so hopefully we won't be far behind.
  4. I seen that last week but it only said coming soon. Wheeler Dealers starts again soon too.
  5. Nice one thanks fella, I'll have to pinch my brothers jeans no way am I cutting up my Hugo Boss's lol
  6. Bit more work on the jam jar last night The O/S wing needs to go the body shop for some welding and then be bolted up. Once the front bumpers done it'll be ready to be wrapped........ once I've got the cash!!
  7. It's a hell no from me. It's not really a Karmann in my eyes
  8. White would look good, not sure if the same colour would but don't go black I HATE black rim lol. What about a loud colour like yellow I've seen it on a India red mk3 before with polished rims and did look good
  9. Got home last night from the UK-MK3's meet at the Ace Cafe last night to find I had a delivery. My Cobra Imolas have been delivered. Seats, harnesses and side mounts for a steal. And there not as bad as I first thought bit of a clean up and there should look spot on.
  10. Hopefully these are winging there way to me now. I know they look creamed but with the look I'm going for I can't go for new as they would look daft. But there structurally sound and light weight which is what I'm looking for.
  11. Thanks pal I've just found out that my three piece rims are welded the Japs do this as a "just in case" but does anyone know where in London I can get the welds split??? I'm gonna have new lips anyway as I won't them wider. Thanks
  12. Just finished shaving the washer jets from the bonnet, the rear wiper and them funny horrizontal lines under rear lights. Just need the wings sorted and US front bumper and it'll be ready to be wrapped
  13. Just got back from holiday and my brother took delivery of these bad boys or they will be when I'm finished with them lol I need to split them spray the spokes white to match the cage and a deeper dish to take them from 7.5" to 9" wide. I'm not sure what to do with the lips yet as I can't have them polished, they'll look stupid on a rat twist car so might spray them white or rust them with the exhaust. Also spoke to a friend of a friend just before I went away and he's gonna build me an inlet manifold to run triumph speed triple x2 throttle bodies and get everything up and running.
  14. Just got the quote back to get the car wrapped like I wanted And they want nearly £2.5k!!!!!! £1950 for the wrap £117 for the art work all plus vat. I am not paying that for a wrap, seems steep to say the least I knew it wouldn't be cheap to do with the art work but £2.5k, come on really
  15. That's what I thought someone might say, just wanted to make sure. Thanks for that
  16. Can anybody give me some names to companies who convert bike throttle bodies for cars, I've spoken to couple but not really had much luck
  17. I didn't realise it was that bad.
  18. I seen that, such a shame to see such a stunning car like that. I'm sure he'll have it up and running again.
  19. Does anyone know of a build thread to either of Big Ron's vr's??? I've seen pics of his mk1 and mk2 both vr's on bike throttle bodies so I'm lead to believe but I can't find a build thread and it would be really handy to my build. Thanks
  20. I want to smooth/shave the sills on my mk3. Will I be fine using filler? The only reason I ask is I'm not sure if it'll be to deep and with to much filler it'll just fall out??? Thanks
  21. I think the seat belt thing depends who go to, I was chatting to a mot fella early and he said harnesses are fine as long as there bolted down properly but he did say you can't change the windscreen
  22. I think I'm alright with harnesses as long as there anchored down probably. I've still got the standard steering wheel so I'll use that for MOT's. As for the engine I'm not going to build some crazy 600 brake engine I was going to use bike throttle bodies and cams maybe. As for exhaust I've already got a wrapped 6 branch, high flow cat and 2.5inch bore system and was going to keep that but maybe change the rear box for a single exit but that's just for looks as I'm bored of the twin exit systems.
