  1. You sure the garage knows what the bearings are like to get off. The backs are easy but the fronts have to be pressed off.
  2. The droning does sound like a wheel bearing to me. Does the sound get worse when turning left or right this woud help you decide which bearing needs attention although its probably best to get them both done as if ones gone the other won't be far behind. It cost me £90 a side for mine. By the sounds of it your batteries been dead for a while so i'd invest in a new one and make sure its big enough.
  3. Have you got springs or coilover suspension? If springs then you can either upgrade to coilovers or get your arches rolled so they dont catch the arches. If you have coilies allready then rolling the arches is your only option, that or raise your suspension slightly.
  4. yep firefox is loads better and safer as well!
  5. There all the same mate, I fitted my Vr's old shocks and springs to my mates Mk3 TDi as his were fudged.
  6. Yep i'd go with the go and buy the right size allen key, and also make sure you have a bar you can slide over the end of it to use as leaverage as they can be a right pain to undo.
  7. No its definately the front offside sunroof drainage hole as I poured some water down it and watched it spill out from behind the dash.
  8. Yes but if it was just blocked wouldn't the water not backup to the sunroof and spillover there and not behind my dash board? Guess I'll find out tomorrow! Thanks for the help.
  9. Cheers Ben, is the a connecting pipe that runs from the sunroof drain down to the outlet in the door seem?
  10. I know this is a common problem as I've searched through a few different posts. I was wondering how people tackled unblocking the drainage holes? I've pushed a thin piece of rod up the hole to free it off but this hasnt worked. If run water into the hole it comes out behind the dash in the passanger footwell. Is there a pipe that runs from the drainage hole down the front pillar and to the exit nipple as i'm wondering if this has fallen off or something. atb Tony.
