  1. Yes I spoke with the owner he does r32 conversions for reasonable money.
  2. I have a auto and after a bit of (correction a lot of..) research I found that the gearbox is ok with 250 ish hp lbtq. However if you look at the import transmission website they can uprate the gearbox to take a lot more. Look on you tube type ipt vr6, that turbo corrado should be over 350whp. He uprated the valve body and the high stall converter. This is not a cheap way to do it. Plus if you are doing that you might aswell recon the gearbox and uprate everything while your at it. On the plus side a drag race in a auto would be fun as nobody in the uk expects a auto to be quick. There are so
  3. I have been advised to go for Bilstein Pss9 coilovers. Very expensive but good.
  4. I have a mk3 golf vr6 automatic and will be gradually tuning the car to either turbo or max na route. 260hp is my max due to gearbox. But wife needs to drive to work occasionaly so do want it to be like track suspension. Any ideas kw v3? Weitec? Eibach and konis? etc price not important, I want my car to feel like a more modern car with sharp turn in and handling. I know this has been covered before in various other posts but suspension technology changes. A lot of people mention Ap are they really that good? I have had Weitec Gtn kit before and that was quite good. I will be fitting Eibach
  5. I spoke with TSR today and they want £1500 for a big vavle head, but they also said that with all the right mods i.e 3.0 litre bottom end or higher etc he has seen 300bhp na. That would be impressive. And very expensive. The acceleration would be savage. Imagine turboing it then!!
  6. My wife bought me a dry cleaning kit for xmas and I have used it a few times, I was quite impressed. If the car is clay barred, waxed etc then it works very well, if the car is dirty and feels like paper then it wont do magic it will just clean it.
  7. I luv the sound of the Dubsport twin engined mk3 vr6. I remember seeing that go up the strip and sound was incredible. Although not that quick compared to a few single engine turbo cars I can think of.
  8. I spoke to them the other day and they said its £1200 for them to take your head and do the work to it. They also redo the seats but thats £10 extra per seat. Apparantly it wont help you make more power but it will bring peak power lower down the range so it will fell quicker. I am wondering if I did this and a big valve head at the same time how much of an increase would there be , and how much with all the other mods, shrick vsi etc. Could 230 to 250 be achievable on a stock bottom end? If so what would you get with a 3.0l bottom end or even a 3.2? My goal would be 250 and I think in na f
  9. So are we saying that they have redesigned the 12v head so it flows better? If so I wonder what na power is likely, due to me having a automatic this is actually a good idea although that price is very steep.
  10. What do we think of this? http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Volkswagon-VR6-Gas-Flowed-Cylinder-head-/280489417142?pt=UK_CarsParts_Vehicles_CarParts_SM&hash=item414e78d9b6 I know that flow has always been a problem for these heads but 250bhp was a ceiling I wonder what na this would produce now?
  11. I have just bought a Sharan VR6 auto Carat and yes its has a few faults but it was very cheap. My first issue is getting it through the mot which it did and only failed on a couple of bits which I can remedy fairly easily. However this is now the family car and as such will only come out when we all need to go somewhere together so it needs to be reliable. I need to do a full service and also I noticed the air filter was black so fitted a K and N I had here and now it wont idle doh!!! So I plan to take off the maf surrounding pipework pcv etc and clean it all and refit and see what happens. My
