  1. Haha i love that site, but yes, they are to blame for my massive (and expensive) collection of detailing products!!
  2. It is if u wanna do it right! lol. The drying towel is a must.... after cleaning (2 bucket method please Ben ) i then dry mine off so i can get onto polishing quicker, if you dont then you cant polish it for ages and the shear thought of a chamois makes me shudder... lol
  3. my wash mitt.... http://www.cleanyourcar.co.uk/washing-and-drying/meguiars-microfibre-wash-mitt/prod_305.html
  4. To be honest they will prob do the job fine, i use Meguaires one and its ok, no better no worse than others, a decent drying towel is a must though and this one i use is amazing!!! http://www.cleanyourcar.co.uk/washing-and-drying/miracle-dryer-ultra-plush-25-x-36-/prod_362.html
  5. Yeah, I got Brembo Vented dics and i think the pads are pagid fast road pads... you get 10% off at GSF so yeah, bargain and seem to work well for me... but by all means ask around, i dont know if the upgrade to black diamond is really necessary as the set up i have stops me well enough!! lol.
  6. oh yeah, Venom motorsport do Black diamond, think they may give a discount if you say ur premium, i cant remember, ill have to check the list...
  7. ahh well its prob nothing to worry about but im sure the garage will let you know when they see it. and no i dont to be honest, i run Brembo discs and Pagid pads on mine which i got from GSF and with my discount come to about £90... I looked into it a lot before i brought them and they good good reviews on here...
  8. There are loadsa great meets throughout the year that a lot of us go to and camp out, get drunk have a lot of laughs, its great fun!! As for the shake... it depends how bad it is, lift your bonnet up n have a look at the engine, if its moving around a fair bit it could be one of your engine mounts needs replacing... but might be ok if its not too bad, just keep your eye on it.
  9. actually, just remembered on the way back from VW action i was so hungover i couldnt be arsed to drive back (prob still very over the limit) so my best mate drove it all the way home!!!
  10. At VW Action when it needed moving 3 feet or so to let another car out. Even though it was running I thought "No more than my lifes worth' date=' I'll wait for her" ;-) [/quote'] Hahahaha... Im not that bad, i have let my boyfriend drive it once or twice, but i dont like it. I am the same, if they break it they fix it and i know im too soft to ask so would foot the bill myself and id rather not take the risk, everyone i know has their own cars that are pretty nice so there's no real need. I dont think its 'obsessive' to have a little pride in your car, mine is no Ferrari but to me it is, its
  11. Being a premium member will work in your favour too, you get great discounts, (which you will make use of straight away and get your money back) and the knowledge vault that it unlocks is great... Here's Tony's link... http://www.vr6oc.com/e107_plugins/alternate_profiles/newuser.php?id=5258
  12. Tony who is in Kent is great and does the chains at a great price.... we did mine together one saturday and it saved me a couple of hundred. He is your man. As for doing it yourself, you need to know what you're doing as you have to take the engine out, gearbox and clutch off and remove the engine casing.... I got my parts from TPS in Kent, picked them up on the morning i did mine. They were a lot more helpful than VW and its all genuine parts, it was about 200, and with that i got all the coolant needed and 2 litres of gearbox oil. If Kent isnt too much of a trek then give Tony a pm, im sure
