  10. sounds as though you mite have sum moisture in the plug in the back of the instrument panel, has the car been sat around for a while?

This is my side project to my VR6, which ive been working on for over a year now, im putting a 2 litre pinto (old skool RS2000 lump) in it with a fast road cam and some fuel guzzling 45 carbs. old skool rear wheel drve and i have built a 4 link suspension set up for the back, coilovas all round, the list goes on......... have a look :-p

  14. dont get a type r, jap rubbish, you'll regret it. 1. they get through oil like i get through cheesestrings! 2. they dont have the soundtrack of a vr6. 3.they have a stupid gearstick. 4. vr6s have more appeal, alot more. keep vr6

  17. am i right in saying that ive seen some mk3s with 9'' wheels on without the arches rolled, if so what offset would i use?

  19. i second the above by pete, its alot of hastle, i was fortunate with my old 16v that my arches wernt rusty behind, although bubbling had started, good luck tho vw_golf_vr6 - thank you
  20. i had my dragon green 16vs arches sprayed professionally, and they are clipped on the inner lip with rivets, although vw did use plastic clips of there own, the rub strips on the doors are clipped on with plastic pegs, becareful taking these off as they break easy! my old 2litre 16v gti my new vr6, non plastic arche model, awaiting new wheels i might add, up to you what model you want
  21. how do you do the wiper speed? i recon its a fault, cant find it in the handbook
