  1. i will try and come as i sound have the motor fixed by then ! and a good long run on the motorway is needed !

  4. right this was very quick test but even so not to happy on results !!! Piston 1 = 9 bar Piston 2 = 10 bar Piston 3 = 8 bar Piston 4 = 8 bar Piston 5 = 8 bar Piston 6 = 9 bar !! And also sparks 1 and 5 had traces of oil but ever so miner ! uhmmmm bloody thing why can t it just work ! lol

  6. if i do a compression test i should be looking at 11bar on all of them shouldn t i ? and if it aint then it can t be rings suring not ?
  7. yep i made sure on the rings being the right way up plus they have them written on them ! im really confused on the whole thing ! ?

Right people i am tollally confused on this!!?? i ve rebuilt the head and i done all the piston rings and big end bearing etc and it was running like a drea, last sunday ! so i ve been taking it easy running it in done about 180 miles till firday ! when was running fine all day till out of the blue ! it was running like a dog !! so i drove the motor home and i could see blue smoke on down shifting ! which i know its burning oil ! which when i took the sparks out only 1 and 5 spark had oil on ! so i gave them a clean up and left it over the weekend ! thinking its the rings ! and then today afte

  14. its not that bad of a job to do just got to make sure its timmed up and he will need to pay for head bolts and head gasket thats it i think

Right people really haven t been updating that much due down to either my piston rings or valve oil seals went ! a week before christmas ! so i had a fun time ! of stripping down and rebuilding but sadly didn t take any photos! but my update list is : 1. new piston rings ! 2. oil valve seals ! 3. new head gasket 4. new head bolts 5. new aux water pump ! 6. totally rebuilt head all clean valves and lapped in which took AGES ! lol 7. new big end bearing but was surprised that mine was mint ! 8. con ron bolts ! wish i got apr ones but maybe later on lol and i think that is it now just for fu

In the engineering buisness all i say is work with the aircraft part where the money is because i work for my dad who has his own engineering company which we do all sorts but the promblem with it is people don t want to pay for the work they would rather pay fuck all and get it from china ! but most of the time its crap but they don t care because thats what they want lol All i say is go and do what you feel is best for you ! im thinking of training to become a mechcanic but i dunno ! im just going to wait and see what the new year brings me ! good luck on what you wanna do mate !

  18. right here is a pic of the two different valves. The valve on the left is the one i bent and came off the motor. The valve on the right came of a vr up the breakers and only now i seen the difference anyone know why they are different ??
  19. yeah im hoping so bungy ! And d@ver yeah i know which is which but its weird its the inlet valves which tapers from the stem to the valve its weird!
  20. lol sorry peeps just worries me why there are two types of valves ! as im cleaning them up and finds these sorts of things ! next is the block ! wish me luck i will need it !
  21. Hi i ve got an OBD2 engine but i got a head from my local breakers and slapped it on now i ve take the head back off due to piston rings me thinks ! but my question is ! Is there two different types of valves for the OBD1 and the OBD2 ? can one tell me please thanks steve
