    So this is what the mechanic said,as i have oil all over the engin, and its what is leakin all over my driveway! how easy is this to fix? justwanting to know the garage aint goin to try take the piss! thanx guys!

    As Title says, just wondering whats the best oilfor the VR6 engine? mine is an OBD1, not that i think matters, but just wondering whatyou guys had experienced? if not im just going to get some VW one, but wondered if there is better out there?!?!

    HiGuys,i have done some rearing in here, and although i can find plenty of useful information about sumps n oil pimps, the question im after has not been answered in my research. so here it goes. i need to give the car a service so full change of oil, all the filters n sparks. however,i have also noticed since a while ago thatmy sump gasket is perished, so gettin a new onefrom VW n changin that. but how easy of a job is it to hange the sump gasket? do i just unbold the sump, take old one off, give surfaces a quick clean, place new gasket and bolt back up? just like that? i want to do it when i

    Hey guys, i'm going to attempt to service my VR, as i'm always getting stuck in with wheels, interiors or ICE, but never any engine issues, although i think i sort of know what i'm on about so a full service will be my test. i am goin to buy everythin from VW, so if you guys could help me with a list of bits i need to ask for, that would be great! also i know i need 5.5lts of oil, but what oil would you suggest? oh yeah, and car is a OBD1 jetta.     i went to VW to buy a gasket as mine is perished, and they said there was 2 diff ones! only £5 diff in price, but if they are diff, then that'll cause probs!!
