  2. i had this problem and despite people telling me it was not my engine speed sensor when i replaced it it solved the problem.
  3. Wahoo fixed it it was the engine speed sensor ( until the next problem) lol
  4. Pull hard back and forth to see if engine moves or knock or get some one to stand in front of the car with the bonet up and pull forward and see if it moves or knocks. I did all my mounts 4 months ago put a vibratechnics comp on the front and standard rado vr mounts on the rear and gear box (they fit mk3). Advice from gwerks and stealth and they are experts.
  5. Have cleaned the throttle body as was filthy hopefully that will help. Just wondering there seemed to be a bit of oil coming from the crank case breather valve which was replace recently is this normal??
  6. I have a bmc filter and thoroughly rinsed it out but did not have propper cleaner or oil.

Wright situation so far, When engine gets to running temp it was hesitating when pulling away unless i reved it to about 2500 rpm then engaged the clutch and one died compleatly when coasted to a set of lights. I have changed plugs for ngk and new leads problem has got alot better but after about 40 miles of motor way it starts hesitating again coilpack has been replaced about 3 months ago, when car was serviced in jan the following faults were found. vehicle speed sensor ( implausible signal) Lambada regulation control limit not reached(intermittent) Throttle possition sensor open or shot(in

Write have desided to get new leads and plugs going for ngk BKR5EKUp plugs but cant deside if i should go for magnicore,schimle or stick with standard bosch ones? is there any difference in leads if i have a 2.9 from 2.8 and finally where is best to buy them from. hope to hear from you all soon cheers in advance

Write i have seen lots of other posts simular to this but i have a few different simptums.When pulling away there is a hesitation unless i rev it to about 2500 and engage the clutch slowly, This seems to happen when it warms up. It also seems to drop in rpm when i engage the clutch and doesnt quite no where to idle at and stalled once? The coil pack is only 4 months old and have cleaned the air filter, I also bought some contact cleaner but a bit cautious on cleaning the maf. If its plugs or leads any recomondations on which once and where to buy or how to test ? finally on motorways if i take
  10. it has blue dials and needles as shown so now i need to find either a broken gti unit i can take bits from or some where that sells dials and needles. Any one got any ideas???

  13. I have horrible blue dials and want to know if there may be the original gti one behind and dont have the money to change the compete dial set.Once you have the dials out can you get to the dials?

  15. Right my alternator works and not sure who to test my starter so will fork out for a battery and see if that works which size will i need? i dont have ac but its a 2.9 if that makes any difference and i assume bosch is the best make???Also were is best to bye one i live in london n18?

  18. I had my car in the body shop last week and since picking it up on sat if i leave it for about 1 hour or more it just about turns over but does then start. I have not given a long run yet only 15 mins could this help? Also dont know if its connected when i unlocked it twice on sunday i heard what sounded like a motor running in the boot( i think its from the central locking unit on the right ) but this stops when the immomilses kicks in after a min if the key is not turned in the ignition? Battery is only a year old and did nothing like this before it went to the body shop. Any ideas :^)

  24. Thinking of saving some space in my boot and was thinking of putting my sub on the side of the boot like a A3 and putting the amp on the other side.I want to keep it oem to a degree and stay away from the maxpower look.Any one got any guidance as i want to do it my self ?
