  1. Has any one tried these i have hella mk4 style head lights. Not sure if there is any majour advantages between the blue ver and the extreme power?? Also if any one has used these is it worth doing the dipped and full beam ( I'll be spending time in the contry side so full beam will be used). Was looking at doing the hid convertion but was hoping this would be a reasonable improvment.
  2. Right a update fingers crossed, think it may be fixed, water was hotter than it's ever been after alot of cleaning of the plate heat exchanger yesterday. So that meens my weekend is going to consist of hosing out all my rads and cleaning my heating system. Thanks you guys for all the help god bless Vw owners lol and hope there is some way I can return the help.
  3. Looking at the wiring diagram there is not a thermostat on plate heat exchanger but do have a temp sensor and saftey thermostat. If its one of these any chance you know what sort of reading i should get rather than just bridging sensor?
  4. It's a potterton performer24 i had it serviced once in the 3 years. I don't think ihad inhibitor in it when it was installed but I put some in a year and a half later after I had to drain down.just incase it makes any difference.
  5. Thank you! Boiler was installed by builders 3 years ago and all corgi passed, but have fallen out with them so don't want them back. In the last couple of months, the hot water has been fluctuating from hot to tepid and at the same time the flame rises and falls by a noticeable amount. I've reduced the flow rate but that hasn't helped. Someone has told me it might be the plate heat exchanger, which I believe can be cleaned easily, or possibly the air pressure switch. I understand that it's unsafe to start working on gas myself but would like to know what the problem could be so that if I

I do under stand all of this but i would hope if a novice had a queary and tryed to do a bit of ground work so they didnt get bent over by a garage we would be morw understanding. 11. Would the blue temp switch cause hesitation when engaging clutch which is a ongoing prob im having?
  12. This is my hesitation problem (helps if you use head phones). It did it again yesterday after 2 hours of stop start shopping then lfrt it for 2 hours no rain or damp then did this until left it over night.Thought it may be junk in fuel filter but only happens when engaging clutch after and standing start. Any suggestions would be welcomed as it only seems to do it over the winter period.
  13. I have had the same problem last winter, changed my coil pack leads, plugs and lots of other things. Ran fine all summer upuntil last sat after a day of driving rain then sorted it self next time i drove it, could it be dampness or driving rain going on to my (bmc) air filter ? ?
