  1. ye carb cleaners best but let it dry out befor refitting,it easy to remove and once removed its got a sort of throttle thing inside that you need to open up and clean inside aswell, ill try and dig some pics out for you
  2. could need a clean in the throttle mate,i had to do the same and also cleaned out the idle control valve,
  3. yes mate mk2 and mk3 coilovers are the same and will fit on both but the top mounts are not so thats all you will need but i belive the mk3 VR ones have a thicker shocker shaft for the extra wight.but not 100% on this just what a mate told me but ive never had chance to compare them.
  4. what problems were you having mate?
  5. ps...its not a easy job.took bags of time and money aswell as driving us both mad but hell its worth it
  6. my vento is 4x4 aswell, all depends on how you want to build it really,i use mk4 diff box and tt prop with custom rear arms custom mounting points and mk4 rear shafts shortend and mk3 outers on the front with mk4 inners lol and thats just the start of it haha took me and my mate (mostly my mate ha) about 8 month to complete

  9. ok well post a pic of a wheel you like the look off and lets see what we can dig out
  10. best way mate is get yourself a set you like second hand in poor condition (but no rim damage ect just surface damage) and polish them up yourself or pay for a refurn there are plenty of places that polish for around £40 a wheel, then you will have a mint set of polished wheels that are abit differant as opposed to off a shelf. i did a set of mercs that were in bad condition lacquer peel polished
  11. looking good mate abit gutted your wheels are yellow though as im 70% done painting my borbets yellow lol
  12. 1st class work bud,the hard work has really payed off.love it!
  13. if it was me mate i would just remove the shaft from the hub side and start fresh, then fit the inner side first thats the hard end to fit but should be much easyer with the shaft removed, ive never had to lift the engines on mine but it will be snug.lol, then you should be fine getting the outter side in with the play from the ball joint removed and the flex in the cv.
