    hi all dont know if i sound a bit thick but how does the blue temp sensor come out ,ive been messing about for ages and i feel im gonna loose patience and break somthing,any help cheers

    just to add another angle try changing the fuel filter as mine felt a bit poop once , so i changed fuel filter 10 minuite job and it sorted me out ,worth a go

    yer seen it for the vr but just wanted to know if vagcom does it too as the mrs is on my case about resetting her mk4 golf service lights so thought i could earn some brownie points and show off

    yer m8 all makes sense in the end, nearly left the seller bad feedback and came close to smashing up me laptop in the process tho.can i reset my service intervals with it ?

    well im all up and running !!! i needed to run vag com in admin mode all sorted now well the vag com is anyway im now dealing with me fault codes one being idlespeed regulator excess and intermitten abs rear right sensor, oi oi i love cars!!!!!!!!

    cheers chaps but still no joy,on the vag com options screen i test the comm port normally port 3 it gives me a message port ok interface not found i love cars

    got my lead in the post today but it is fecking me about!!! im gonna smash me laptop up soon.has anyone got previous experiance of setting one of theese cheap ebay leads up with vag com, i installed vagcom and the driver for the lead on a vista pc and an xp pc but still cant get the lead to register comm port on vagcom maybe me or its going back to where it came from 2morro!!!!!

    could be a few things but give theese a go and see if it sorts you out..its probly not fireing on all 6 ,check your spark plug leads or replace them along with the spark plugs,also check your coilpack to see if it has a crack ,best to check in dark ,get somone to start the car in the dark while you keep your eyes on the coilpack to see if you can see any arching /sparking if so you will need to eaither fix it or replce it,all else fails get it on the computer and see if you got any fault codes good luck m8

    just bought a VAG COM USB KKL 409.1 lead for the bay and downloaded vag com will let you lot know how i go when it arrives ,

    thanks craggsy was looking at that site but i only wanted to spend about £20 - £30 on one coz im a tight arse, so is not worth me getting a cheap lead and downloading the software can get them on the bay for £13 ish ,only thing im worried about is the compatability of the software of the lead with plop vista,cheers

    hi try to repair the crack on coil pack with resin or super sillicon and see what happens before you buy another ,also try your old leads and give your maf and throttle body a clean only takes 10 mins,all else fails get it on the computer normally tells you if serious, good luck

    whats the best diagnostic, vag com software with car lead on laptop or an all in one small unit, im a bit parranoid about getting one off ebay as none say that the leads they sell are compatible with vista,can anyone recomend one/?? cheers

    it was the crap tyres super sheen in borhamwood sold me,i cant un recomend this place enough,complete fairy tales from the owner ,but all sorted now ....two new tyres sweet

    forgot to say as for dipsticks to check gearbox oil i have been told maybe shite but there are only 2 kinds of vr6 autobox 1 with dipstick and 1 without so try have a look to see .

    hi leigh ,if it was me id take it to get looked at as you dont wanna fecked autobox as getting it fixed is as much as the cars worth .mine went and only out of love i suppose i paid up big money to get my vr back on the road ,no problems no signs at all it just died.it was a dark time you can maybe see if any of the bolts are loose on the box and give them a tighten clean off all the old oil marks and see if it stops etc ,good luck with it

    well i think it did start after tyres fitted but not 100%,the guys at the garage did balance them ,i have an idea can i use two wheels off a mk4 golf on the front of mine and see if noise goes ?

    hi all been a while trouble free but seem to have developed a knocking noise when i slow down from 30 to a stand still ,like im going over little bumps ,i have had two secondhand tyres fitted to the front lately dont know if thats the cause as i went back with the car and the guy listerned and said it wasnt the tyres,maybe the bearing but i do believe its the tyres ,anyone else had this problem???

    hi all hope your all kool , i was just replacing my air filter today and sorted out a dodgy connection on my abs so had the bonnet up and started the engine a few times to test abs light went out which it did hoooooray!! but my engine seemed to br getting quite hot considering the amount of time it was on ,so curiosity got the better of me,my top rad hose is hot and the bottem is cold ,i have never overheated and the temp sensor in car is alway in the middle as normal,my fans kick in my climate works hot and cold ,hot doesnt sound as lourd {fan noise wise} as when on cold but its hot, any clu
