    cheers tonk,i thought u could personalise the clima abit more,like i said all new to me, i only seem to get temp on right which is output temp into car from climatronic unit, are the outside sensors all in the same place on all vr's,ive a 97/8 spec cheers

    hi all,well avin a fiddle with the dash display and when i get to outside 0c it just skips quick, do vrs have this function as my mk4 caddy does, anyone know where the sensor is if so ,so i can see if its fecked, many thanks back on the road making bmw owners upset

    arnt most old bill cars tuned up abit? i remember my pal bought an ex police vauxall vectra and the thing flewwww, would have been good to have seen police giving it some around town lights on lol, anyone ever see any of theese on road ive never seen any in london, good pic mike

    its a classic pic,i would be kicking the s*** out of that vr if i was the policeman,all day every day ,free petrol,free tyres ,free serviceing,no worries of speed cams or getting nicked,

    well i was thinking around £200 off for the time taken, do i have a leg to stAND on? i have never had any trouble with a garage before so what rights do i have,? maybe i go there with other set of keys and just take it lol,

    cheers devil,well when i went in there i was gonna take me car back,but they had already taken me autobox out,i did say i needed it back and how long as i was borrowing somone elses car,but will have a barta with em,what would you recomaend money wise to taKE OFF, cheers

    still no car ,went down there and was gonna pick it up but they had actually started on it ,have been told tuesday now which will be a day short of 2 weeks,do you think i deserve a discount?

    see thats what i thought .i know its not the simpleist and nicest of jobs but if your a specialist with all the equipment and experiance not to mention the cost you would be provideing a better service, this place was the closest to me and was sort of recomended well name dropped to me by my mechanic and are a very well known automatic specialist so i just went with it,i did get other quotes cheaper but further away and a problem when the car is dead and has to be towed ,my bloods been boiling all day about this,i just wanted to scream at the feller down the phone when he said it hasnt moved

    well i thought i would be back on the road this week,but pure dramas, is this taking the mick? took car in wednesday evening ,so they had my car , thursday friday saturday and today [mon} so i rang to see how getting on and the guy told me it hasnt even moved from where i left it as there doing last weeks work this week as well chocka block,so i say will i have this week and i get not a very confidant maybe, do you lot think i should just take me car back from theese comidians, i feel for the money they want they should provide the service, any feedback please, cheers

    hi , ive took her in today,so be back on the road expensively soon, im gonna ask for a better cooler this time not the standard vw one which let me down in first place ,any recomendations ??? thanks

    well in a catch 22,and only 1 day to go, arrrrrrrrhhhhhh i did email the seller and he told me it may not even be correct autobox for my car as he bought it by mistake,somthing about only one sensor/? so is a reconned box any good or poop cheers

    hi all, pleas any advice ,previous experiance and feedback would be greatly needed by myself if you have read my other post about my auto gear box dying on me out of the blue then please HELPPPPP! i got a quote to recon my auto box heat exchanger cooler £1700 this is from a very well known auto specialist,who i believe would be trust worthy this was a few weeks ago and since i have booked car in for this coming thursday but i can cancel ,i know its alot of money but i do love my vr ,i have been looking for a similar car to mine automatic etc and all seem to be grubby and tired and sloooow ,

    cheers phat, top man ,i have emailed the seller to see if fits in my car,i do like an auto,probly lazyness as around town it constant gear changes .i must say my vr6 is so clean and tidy and engine sounds so sweet,i will be gutted to see it go, does anyone know if the v6 4motion came in auto,] as might get abit of finance ontop of my repair money and try get one of them, fingers crossed

    thanks joju,will give them a bell this week as ive tryed to just put the golf to the back of my mind for a week or so now,but now ive got the funds together im ready to get prices, ive hAD 1 quote of £1700 with a 12 month or 30.000 mile warrenty, it is a difficult decision weather to spend that sort of money for a car worth 2k,or with the money for the new box shall i get another vr6 or will that break etc ,difficult decision cheers

    hi .does anybody think £1700 for a recon autobox fitted with 12 months or 13.000 miles warrenty is pricey? anybody know anywhere else recomended, thanks

    hi all,well not good news ,it seems that my auto gear box has gone along with my heat exchanger,so im probly gonna be getting rid of my car as its gonna cost as much as the cars worth unless anyone in the know to help ,so upset, anyone need any bits let me know,mint recaros,quad hella lights original,17inch rs4 alloys and tyres 2 months old,kn panel 6 weeks old,boot liner cd changer whole car is perfect ,engine etc, this really is a great example sunroof climate full clifford closure all extras, thanks 07852 79 80 90 jay

    hi all will def check heat exchanger ,so what you reckon about me auto gear box then as i really have to hammer the revs up to get moving at all,roll on tomorrow as my pals coming armed with a tool box !!! cheers all and fingers crossed for tomorrow
