Hi all having a few issues with my 1997 3dr vr it keeps blowing fuses. it keeps blowing the front wind screen wiper fuse after replacing twice for some unknown reason the heated washer jet wires started geting realy hot and started smoking.also my electric window fuse keeps blowing yet when you first put the fuse in the windows work fine.please can some one help me..
  2. nice one seems like mine is off the road more than on feels twice as fast when ya get it working dosent it.
  3. anti roll bar touching the wishbone maybe.mine used to do it on the passanger side.
  4. ide say go half way for good will and all.ya gotta say you got a mega bargain on the wheels.
  5. you could get forged standard compression pistons and if you want to lower the compression later use a thicker head gasket.although stage 2 dosent require the compression to be lowerd. people on hear recon the rods are good for 500 bhp so no need to change them.arp head and rod bolts may be a good idea for long term reliability.saying all that if its the vf engineering kit your talking about there made to run perfectly on a standard vr6.
  6. them lm reps probs cost you nothing compaird to your real bbs alloys. plus you already have them shot the tires of the rc's on the lm's and see what they look like.post a pic up to so we can all admire.
  7. vr6_rob im from middlesbrough i will have a drive down not going to show my car tho needs allot of work doing.
  8. thought cars lost like 30-40 bhp through the wheels not 60-70.
  9. 140inc vat from euro car parts 165inc vat from vw not much more and its got to be better quality.
  10. stay well away from euro car parts ones aswell vw is the only way to go.
  11. i always find once ive had my inlet off and put it back on it runs a bit crappy.so i hafto clean plugs and make shure the leads are on proply dont the front leads run under the schrick you could check they havent been disturbed by the manafold going on.mite save spending money on a map.dont mean to tell ya the basics i no your not daft but sumtimes its the baisics.i fitted cams and it ran like **** thought bi had to get a remap that day it was so bad had a tinker runs a dream unmaped no lumpy idle on 268's.

  13. never drag raced before is it worth getting a racing clutch.
  14. i will come in my vr. should be supercharged stage two by then.
  15. bought a engine that had them done 100.000 and changed them agen at 120.000 just for good measure.
  16. thats shocking £500 inc decat and vat is reasonible.
  17. most people on the schimmel site have them mounted on them 2 random screws on the drivers side inner arch as you look to the left of the engine bay.
  18. if your camber is out its gonna handle like a sack of **** i put some coilovers on my old mk2 and quickly diverted my test run to the local tire place lol.
  19. looks amazing sat on the floor on them super t's what are they 17".
  20. how come theres no holes for the leads in yours mike have you welded a plate across or sumthing.
  21. i thort that too never realy botherd with fancy leads before do they even do anything noticable.
