losing coolant through breather on header tank

I'd try the header tank gasket first off, only aroud a fiver, better than pumps and stats, in case it aint that, -

Just kicking my heels so i thought why not. This all started when i lost my licence through the demon drink (not a proud moment i may add ) Anyway Sal had to learn to drive pretty quick , so the deal was Get me a GTI and i'll learn So this is what i came up with Well pass her test she did and all was good, she did actually learn in this car, after a couple of months we were travelling up the M50 when a tanker pulled out in front of us and this was the outcome all was well no one hurt. so on we moved, time to find another came up with this one at a bargain price thats how she came, after a

Yea but it was part of the follow on after my mishap coming back from the ring, i did post on here Nige but was getting all sorts of answers ranging from pump to stat, so bit the bullet, could have spent a lot more in the process of elimination lol.. and why dont my smileys work )

Wish i'd noticed this thread, would have pointed straight to the header cap, went thro same senario but it cost me £105 to find the answer from vw stealer, £100 labour...£5 cap seal.. anyway glad your sorted mate...
