  1. I might use one ive just read up there a requirement on a supercharged car using a maf.it makes sense at idle the maf can only read the air between maf and throttle body which would be a dead head which inturn can make it run rich as the maf isnt reading a flow.if i fit a recirculating one the maf can then read a flow at idle.Bugger means altering pipework not too hard i suppose.any recommendations for a recirculating type? I can pipe in between outlet and throttle body for valve and pipe from valve to a joint i have at inlet of charger
  2. Ahh a recirculation valve nah i dont.. i believe there not much good for idle issues etc
  3. Recirc for keeping turbulence away from maf?
  4. Looking like a 7 hour trip down to vince.definitley not taking the chance driving down drive home should be pleasant tho [emoji16]. Just need a form of transport to take it down.will update soon
  5. Ive also emailed stealth see what they recommend.but more than ready now
  6. So am i im crapping it as i never run my vr hard.no big mods just a 2.9 inlet and throttle body and the charger.im hoping for nearly 240
  7. Cheers mate i suppose old wiring prone to corrosion but i totally forgot i had issues before fitting charger.at least now i can see o2 moving on vcds.disconnect maf it cuts out same with throttle switch it cuts out so ecu must be using them.so far so good
  8. Well vcds now alternating o2 active limits when running seems much smoother did scope of o2 and has a fluctuating graph now so all working.just 1st start this morning didnt want to increase idle on cold start but im going to get it mapped anyway as its idling fine revving throughput the range with no dips and rests back at idle and stable.so time to hit the rollers see how much this mapped chip i have runs on the rolling road
  9. Yesterday with ignition on the vcds was showing the o2 active as 1.0 tonight after repairing cable its 1.85 so made a difference before even starting it up.will tell 2moro how it is.im not really sure what the vcds o2 active actually is monitoring
  10. My theory is no contact no voltage.no voltage makes ecu think its running weak or sensor fail if it does fail or think its weak it automatically puts an extra 25% fuel in as a fail safe
  11. Well wont be getting continuity through that terminal its the earth for sensor side not for heater side.hopefully found the problem
  12. Ok new cap fitted 310cc injectors and chip back in running much better this .code o2 sensor limit surpassed i had forgot i had this fault before fitting charger i presumed i cured it by buying a new bosch lamda.obviously hadnt and this is why im running rich even more so with bigger injectors etc.lambda plug on car loom has 4 wires the yellow that connects to pin 42 in ecu i think is the ground for sensor has corrosion on terminal.im thinking as the lambda detects a lean mixture the voltage would be low and if rich it would be high.as ive got a corroded terminal id have no voltage to sensor s
  13. Has this been proven and fully works?
  14. Well i went back to basics plugs out gaps good dizzy cap off and seems to have blown a hole on one cylinder glad ive got spares.this could equate to the slight rough running at idle so change this out tonight.checked for voltage at maf all good just to rebuild up again and ill pull maf plug off just to i double check the maf is working.

  16. I have a company i have found that deal with vws and mapping etc ive emailed them with details. They are 30mins from me
  17. Found my original chip will try it later on
  18. Hi mate are you running a z engineering supercharger? Are you running z engineering software or have you got a custom map done?
  19. Standard injectors wont run on United motorsports chip i presume its due to the map on the chip being done for larger injectors.is there anywhere who can flash my chip with a standard map to get me running safe so i can get it custom mapped.i now dont want to remove standard injectors id prefer to keep them with the 4 bar regulator
  20. Well all plugs sooted so definitely all cylinders running rich.refitting original standard injectors. See if that helps
  21. Inlet manifold off now and it's really strong smelling of fuel ill pull plugs out make sure they are all the same colour incase it is down to 1 injector leaking
  22. Maybe is worth after thinking about it changing fuel pressure regulator to 3 bar as the injectors i have fitted are rated 3 bar but more flow.maybe the reasons they leave standard injectors in and upping the fuel pressure regulator to 4 bar is to push more flow thru standard injectors whereas if i leave the 310cc injectors fitted lower fuel pressure regulator it may be fine till i get a remap.as i said its a standard charger wont be producing much psi so the decrease in fuel pressure may help with the ones fitted
