guys, have you developed your cars too far? to the extent you dont want to do real world driving in them any more? im not being rude, but please, be honest. i dont know where jk's scratch came from but is not the vr6 a drivers car? Rob i dont know where

i know what the horn feels like!!! any idea where it has fallen from? how to re attach? also, breathing problems have been mentioned with regard to obd1, could this be the cause of my downhill smoke? guys, cheers! Rob

guys got a thingy dangling down behind front splitter, in front of driver side wheel, about 3 inches long, a wire coming from each end, holding it on in fact, just hanging there, looks like a spring with a wire out of each end. what could it be?where should it be? rob

ok, just had to burn to the shop to get some milk, car not warmed up first as i always do, on the way back, very steep downhill section, following slow car which turned off the road in front of me, second gear, accelerated not very hard, downhill, plume of greyish smoke out the exhaust. my question is, am i in trouble? my old mk2 8v did the same thing a couple of times. my car barely used any oil on recent 700 mile round trip. i need some good news here guys! mine go 'rusty' overnight. make a horrid noise in the morning with the first dab of the middle peddle. then, immediately after its back to business as usual. but i thought its b'cos i live right on the coast. ho hum! Rob

guys thanks for the help last time, had my thermo housing changed in the morning, drove to manchester from cornwall in the afternoon. BUT the temp needle now sits at well under 70, and sometimes not far off the first little marks on the guage. temp will rise in traffic and the fans cut in as usual. what could this mean? oil temp is still as regular as ever. i had a great blast down cornwalls A30 on monday in my VR6 against a swiss reg golf 4 motion. i know he could have had me but i new the twisty bits better off the dual carriageway. got an indicated 125 out of mine though at one point. No harm, no foul. Ror

guys there is a funny click click noise coming from one of my front wheels i think, it gets quicker the faster you go, like a stone stuck in the tyre tread, i thought, but drove to manchester from cornwall last week and back and the noise is still there. i can only hear it with the window open and above say 40 it stops or cant be heard anymore. any ideas? tyre not losing pressure, all good apart from the damn noise. guys hi! been lurking for a couple of weeks, bought myself a nice fsh, but highish mileage Golf VR6 about a month ago. i drove half mile to shops this morning and the coolant light came on flashing. i topped the coolant up, it stopped winking at me, but, there seems to be a greenish coolant like patch halfway down the front of the engine. it would seem i have a leak. temp never soars, the car behaves itself impeccably in fact. what dou you think?
