  1. Hello Guy's Can anyone point out why the these two diagrams are different, basically on the early models the strut bearing goes in before the nut and the later model the opposite way. I have included two diagrams found on a post of the forum made by Jimjon. I would like to know the reason for this as I have been told that the strut bearing should be installed as per diagram one??? and that is possibly why I am getting a strange noise from my suspension after lowering. Thanks Guys!! EDIT: I have a 1997 Vr Highline. Thanks Early Models..... Late Models....
  2. You tube link.... http://uk.youtube.com/watch?v=-CuZyAnEAvM
  3. Yeah' date=' but it it really that safe? There is a video on youtube that was really scary, his wheels literally popped off! But FK make these adapters as well? Is it not safer to go with their set as I hear they are the best? Cheers
  4. TG all the way, Jeremy Darkson is hilarious!
  5. I hate 5x100. There are sooooooo many fookin great wheels other than 5x100!!! this sucks! If only the Vr was 5x114 Piss me off that tne JAP owners get all the good wheels!
  6. Yes they would be fine but you will need 205/45/16's as the rears will catch on the struts.
  7. MIne is an OBD2 and I get around 18ish mpg in major traffic as I only drive 10 miles return daily, my previous one was OBD1 and that used to get me around your figures in traffic. Also I assume yours is an auto as oer your forum name and auto's do tend to like the petrol pumps more
  8. Wrong size, 205/40/17 is what you need. Spacers are a no go as they will push the wheels way out from the arches therby needing work to arches to be road legal and longer wheel bolts. Cheapest option is to replace tyres.
  9. Will call you, what about re-drilling the hubs? That way I can change wheels often lol.
  10. Realised that FK don't do these, anyone knoe of a reliable supplier? Don't really want my wheels flying out on the motor way! Thanks
  11. In that case I will be changing mine as well, however I am not convinced it is the dampers! Maybe will just buy one as a test?? Thanks for the response :0
  12. Hello dub25, Many thanks for that comment, you literally put our minds to rest with regards to making the right decision! We did notice that there were quite a few young looking dodgy guy's hanging about, also quite close to Dollis valley possibly why there are some baddies around! Much appreciated. FACT: This forum is really informative not only for vr's but property advice as well
  13. Thanks alot buddy! , spoke to a friend who advised to me to call the local estate agents and ask them for a current resale price and it seems we are really getting a bargain flat for the money! All thes best, hopefully the vr does not sell lol......
  14. Thanks for the wise comments guy's. However the missus seems to be leaning towards the flat as she knows I cannot and will not be able to maintain a garden, let alone an entire house! Can barely keep two cars clean lol. Anyways we are hoping that the equity on the flat will grow as it has already been reduced by £50K from the original off-plan price in mid 2007. Wish us luck
  15. Good suggestion, I will run that past the missus, btw sorry I missed your call, Will call you tomorrow
  16. Well I am sure most of it would end up on ebay or sold locally to someone who will stick on there, moral of the story: Don't support/buy items that are look or appear dodgy! Then innocent people will not get robbed! Sorry mate! FCUK THEM UP!!!
