  2. i know these are old news, but i got one in the box with my neuspeed so i thought i'd give it a whirl i know where it goes etc, but what do i do with all the lines that come off the standard part? and the sensors?
  3. there's a few threads on detailingworld if youve got an old panel give it a try on that to save messin up your bonnet!
  4. depends how brave you are and what kit youve got! thoroughly clean the chipped area, use a touch-up kit from VW or paints4u in the chip, wiat for it to go off, wet sand the patch down and then buff up with an orbital or detailing machine
  5. check the belt tensioner. i had a very loud grinding noise there and found the tensioner had pretty much disintegrated!

  9. about to order an inline filler so i can remove the expansion tank, where do i run the line from the end of the crackpipe to? the one that usually connects under the header? also i dont wanna remove the heating, as i was led to believe this would be a bi-product of doing this...

  12. AP coilovers are in that price range, and made by KW/Weitec so good quality cant comment on rubbing, lower it how you want, and if it rubs wind it up a bit or get lower profile tyrers!
  13. the red car is a VRT believe it or not, although i think its running a kinetic or C2 stage 1 kit which isnt intercooled and running very low boost this obv isnt turbod but shows the intake nice and hidden. dunno how much heat it would take in though and obv you'd have a prob with the brake servo and cylinder, pot etc
  14. really like those, was looking for a set before i found something else off a polo dune if im not mistaken? saw a mk3 at stonor park with them and think they really worked 195/40 tyres and nice and low and youre onto a winner!

  17. cheers guys. was the 1.6 neg on the front achieved with those eibach bolts? trying to find out of kmac make eccentric topmounts for the VR but their catalogue is quite vague. would mean i wouldnt have to chop the top of the turrets off to fit them and also have even more adjustment in camber/castor have been looking for balljoint extenders for a while anyone got a link? also read about flipping the track rods again to retain the geometry. anyone got any thoughts on this? but yeah apart from that gonna try and shed some weight, smaller batt in boot etc
  18. i dont really mean high end coilovers, more like camber/toe/castor correction on lowered cars. i like to run low but want to retain/improve the handling characteristics of my mk3 already got coilies, looking at thinker eibach ARB's, lower brace, polybushing and uprated mounts etc been looking into adj camber/castor topmounts like the ones from Ground Control in the US anyone got experience with these or something similar? or got any suggestions? thanks
