I'd say just keep in mind that you know what issues there are with your car and what needs sorting, you can spend the money sorting them and know that its good....if you buy another car it will have a whole new set of issues that you'll then need to sort again, given it may not be rust related but could be a serious engine issue or something else that will cost muchos dollars. I have a set of 5oomile old rear calipers if you do decide you want to keep yours and replace the ones you've got, come with fresh green stuff pads as well. Drop me a PM if you decide to keep it.

Big thanks to you lads and lasses for putting up with us Mk2VR6 members for the weekend; me and Helen had a great time this year thanks to your organisation and preparation....couldn't believe it when Nige pulled out his.......projector and we proceeded to watch "The Business" on the make shift big screen lol To all members that haven't been to a show with these guys yet.....you are missing out! It was our first time meeting most of them and they were very friendly and welcoming......if not a little confused as to why a Fiat Punto had pulled up on their show stand lol ......I promise to bring

Me and the missus are coming...albeit in the Punto :-( please don't bust a cap in our asses! Anna has sorted our mk2vr6 club stand which I think just merges in to yours, she has been rather unclear about the setup but needless to say we will be joining you fine guys and gals for the weekend so please make us feel welcome otherwise we'll leave early and probably call you rude names! :-p Do we have to bring you a prezzie Ben?? Not sorted any costumes yet and not sure whether there is time to sort it now....but we'll see Who's going friday and what time?

Just read through Jims thread, very impressive, although I'll go for C2 software, 4" MAF and uprated injectors I think rather than running the begi unit. Could someone compile a list of parts perhaps, that I would need for a basic turbo setup running a front mount intercooler and C2 software...pretty please?? Cheers

Ok just been having a gander on the bay and found a gt3071r, out of my current budget but looks like I'll have to put this off for a few months anyway so time to save, but could someone please explain the jargon below, I haven't got a clue about T3 flanges or any of that, so if someone could put it in to laymans terms I'd really appreciate it. I've highlighted the confusinf parts. Cheers Turbo is the newest addition to the Garrett Ball Bearing Line up. It fills in the requirements for small displacement 4 cyl. engines and has a excellent response characteristics. It spools up 1,000 RPM sooner

Cheers for that Kev. So what spec turbo is best for quick spool, low boost and around 300bhp....oh and also reasonably priced? Appreciate the help guys

IHI VF35 is the turbo on my brothers scoob, and I was wondering whether I could use that as he is changing it for an upgraded model soon and will sell it to me cheap, but just wondering whether this is usable on the vr and whether it will fit in the bay of a mk2vr at that? Cheers

Right, I'm contemplating the turbo route for my VR but just wondering what the best turbo is for the least amount of money that will give around 300bhp without having reliability problems, as you can tell it will be done on a tight budget. I'm assuming a KO3 is too small? would a turbo off an 03 impreza sti be ok? Any ideas, opinions or comments? Cheers Dan
