just cruising at 80-85 i get 30 mpg and 15-20 if im giving it beans, usually see between 18 and 25 about town, forget miles per gallon and think SMILES per mile mate, u wont get as upset, lol, trust me there are a whole lot of grins that can be had from wearing a lead right shoe off a roundabout. go find a peice of road you like driving on and have fun you'll soon see why people love the vr6 so much

was thinking of junking the rears anyway focker, might go back tto the standard ones coz they are plain and simple or even go for some cl model ones, ive lifted the rear 20mm now as the 80mm drop all round bounced my exhaust apart coz it had no give in the rear, lol, its a little bit softer now and still looks the nuts, will put up new pics when ive finally decided on the ride hieght and finished smoothing the rear boot out and spraying it to match the rest of the car, have also started saving for my borbet a's, i know they are old skool rims but 9x16's all round would look tough with minimal

im not feeling so down about it now, was just a kick in the nuts having to constantly cough up my hard earned to keep it going when i use it so little, also the cost of repairs aint just expensive they always pop up when ive saved for my next mod so that dont get done, just tired of always having to fix it when i already got the finished car pictured in my head, still atleast it gives me something to work towards

Has anyone ever cromed their engine bay???
gavinvr6 replied to motormadj's topic in Bodywork and Styling
if you google chrome plating kits you can get a wand type plater that deposits small amount of chrome/silver via a sponge attached to an electrode, will probably cost a fortune in solution and take a year to do but the efforts would be worth it -
the way i see it is its a labour of love, a bloody expensive one but all the same, its just i thrown more money at it than i paid for it because i couldnt afford a decent one at the time, its just getting really frustrating that everytime i fix one thing something else goes wrong lol, so money i save for modifications has to go on yet more repairs, like i saved for wheels and blew the gear box, i saved for engine goodies and now the brakes and rad muck up, the only things i have managed to do is get the coil overs on and get it stuck in the weeds and fitted a universal exhaust myself that look

here's another couple of pics of my baby, backs a little low n stiff gunna bring it up 20mm to soften it and give it that wedge look

not an issue strangly enough, the only prob is the rear is propper stiff coz they are budget (i hate that word) coilovers feels like there is no give in the rear at all, but its pukka going through the twisty stuff not a spot of body roll, lol
-

guys yet another fault with my car, the alarm kicked in last night when i went to get in the car and wouldnt stop, had rac out who tried to bypass the immobiliser/fuel and starter cut outs but he got confused by the level of workmanship and amount of contacts the alarm had. the damn thing is wired so good its unreal, he said for once the alarm had been done to such a pro standard there was no way of bypassing it, but im stuck now with a mighty dilemma, do i get it fixed and out it due to the fact im so disheartened with the car and always skint because of it or do i bite the bullet and get a
