    i thought u had to leave the car in ignition position 1 for about 15min for the throttle body to be reset if u didn't have vagcom...?

    I'd say it's normal... it's a big lump to crank over and fire.. so stop worrying.. if it starts just enjoy before you get a real problem!

    how long is a little while...? mine takes a few turns then fires.. but it's always been like that? i have had routine changes of alternator.. starter-motor.. sensors as and when they fail but car has always fired the same...

    you can get a vibratechnic one.. bit more heavy duty.. got one in mine..

    215/35/18's might get under.. 225/40 will probably need some work. Each to there own... but 17's with dropped ride looks perfect...

    I was told you can leave the ignition on for a few minutes and that will reset the throttle body...

    Sorry to jump in but I got the scorpion letterbox on my VR and it sits ok.. think i had to get the centre section to sit down a little then the rear box was fine.. just gota watch the bumps

    AA man will be able to check your alternator is charging the battery...

    have u tried removing the cap of the expansion bottle.. leave car running and turn heaters on full blast... might remove any air locks...?
