i didnt change the plugs, i was in the process of fitting my coilovers and headlights and when it came to the plugs i couldnt remove the first lead so i thought sod it ill leave it for now, although when i bought the car there is a receipt for new leads fitted. i have the tool but it didnt fit the plug cap so i left it for now

i fully serviced in on saturday, funny tho as thats when it all started happening lol, ill get it hooked up tomoz when im in work cheers oh and which leads would you recommend, oem or another make?? dubpower make their own using the same material as magnecor any good???

happened again today, started first go after i finished work, pulled up at a set of lights, it cut out but restarted first time, but was missing, it then wouldnt accelerate like before, let the car idle again and then all was ok anyone got any ideas please????

hi all, only just got my vr6 and upto now all has been great, starts fine hot or cold and pulls all the way through, but this morning i went out in the car first thing after some heavy storm rain and when i puit my foot down in 3rd gear it was really hesitating, in fact it wouldnt accelerate, i had to back off back into 2nd and then accelerate and then back into 3rd, after this it never happened again, any ideas what the fault could be?? was thinking poss damp in the coil just wondered if anyone else has had this fault cheers

prob the reverse light switch, quite common on vw's, its situated ontop of the selector module on the gearbox, its easy to find, its the black switch at the very top held on by 2 10mm head bolts, not expensive from vw, try removing the switch and bridging the two wires in the plug, if the reverse lights come on the its the switch, if not then check for power and earth, £10 says its the switch lol

How do i know if the chains and tensioners need doing?

think the only tell tale signs are the chains rattling, the noise is from the gearboxside in the area of the head -
well got me some inpro projector headlights today, cost me £117 and are brand new, have been told bonrath grills are the ones to go for, anyone disagree Cheers

got the koni's for 620 inc vat, shopped around but couldn't find them cheaper, should be here soon, was thinking of a jetex cat back oval end pipe type, you can get them of ebay for about £268 delivered

Picked her up yesterday, 97 r reg with 97 k on the clock, im now the 3rd owner with full service history and luckly for me im a mech in a veedub garage lol what first??????? Cheers
