    just been to my local GSF and the only head gasket have is a Topram head gasket, are these any good as i only wanna do the job once, and cant find any victor reintz or elring head gaskets anywhere local to me (sutton coldfield/birmingham) karl

    going to do an oil change next weekend, and noticed halfords are doing castrol magnatec for £17.50 for 4l, would you say this is a good oil for a vr6 will be using the 10w 40 grade karl

    i'm fitting a completly re-furbed engine in my corrado tomorrow, whats the correct way of getting it running for the first time?? ie plugs out turn over a few times?? or no plugs but with fuel lines attached?? karl

    bought this manifold off e-bay and it was sold as an obd2 manifold, but it looks to me to ba an obd1 manifold, sorry for newbie question just not been around vw's for a few years but back in a obd2 converted corrado. cheers karl

    phone this place if you need a short runer, DG Autotech Unit 242/Ikon Ind Est/Droitwich Rd, Hartlebury, Kidderminster, DY10 4EU Tel:01299 253373 there short runners are made in england on site, and the quality is miles better than the ones on Kraut e-bay, tell them Karl from off the corrado forum sent you there way and they may knock some money off for you. karl

    the ONLY way you can seize a rotrex charger is not keeping an eye on the self contained oil level, there are people out there that have done 50k plus with a rotrex charger with no trouble at all. you can buy a kit to repair the rotrex chargers from R-TEC in holland, but they have to get all the parts together for you, as they don't stock the repair kit due to them not needing to sell them.

    never heard of any box problems on corrado's, and leaking sunroofs?? never heard of that one either. i think someones been telling you porkies mate. and as for reliability, i have had no major problems with mine, but they are not new cars so be ready to dive into the wallet, get onto the corrado forum as theres some bloody nice ones for sale on there at the moment. karl (corrado owner for the last 7 years)

    actually fitting an r32 into a vr6 is no more difficult than swapping a vr6 for a vr6 engine.

    10k for fitting an r32 engine, they must be bloody dreaming. Mines cost me approx 1.8k for engine, 6 branch, and ecu plus allowing for vinces payment for the re-map he's currently undertaking.

    yeh as kev said physically getting the engine in is the easy part, the really complex bit is the wiring, it was even harder for me being very very colour blind, i also used one of the 6 branch conversion manifolds that storm sell, but i went straight to there supplier and saved about £75. heres a link to my thread on the corrao forum http://the-corrado.net/forum/viewtopic.php?f=11&t=61633 the first few pages are boring, but it gets better??

    well i have just got mine working with the DTAP8 PRO, it sounds amazing still got loads to do with tidying the bay, attaching the downpipe up to the cat, and getting it properly mapped. as for cost?? you CAN do this conversion for approx £2.5k EASILLY, mines ended up costing me just short of £1.1k but i sold my old engine and the bits i had accumulated for the rotrex conversion for £2k so at the moment i'm £900 in pocket. heres a quick vid http://www.corradoclub.org/images/stories/video/KarlsR32.MP4 any questions?? just ask karl
