korsou got a reaction from VR6Pete in Keyless entry system on a 11/1996 MK3 Golf
Hello All,
Hope all are well and healthy !!!
I have an MK3 2-door Golf VR6 and I would love to install an original keyless entry system. I have read somewhere there are some parts that need to be replaced for this to be done.
Can anyone shine some light on this? Many many thanks.

korsou got a reaction from VR6Pete in MK3 VR6 rear brake upgrade
Thanks a lot for all responses Gents !!!!!!!
That is certainly very helpful. I agree there is little braking in the back but I would like to be coherent with the braking both front and rear.
Also, one more question. With the larger Cupra Brembo rotors and calipers and with the bigger raking force, won´t the ABS jump quicker as well?
All have a great one

I run 195/40/17 on my 7.5×17 and 205/40/17 on the 8.5×17 and they've got a nice amount of stretch on both not too much tho

215 is the minimum recommended width for a 8j rim and worked really well for me.
205 would physically fit and would give that show car stretched look. Performance would obviously be compromised slightly but really it's all down to taste.

Hello Gents,
Thank you very much to all for your awesome help. I have found some cool wheels, which I will probably end up buying.
Can anyone please confirm if any 17" wheel will fit the 323mm Brembo brakes? The ET for the wheels is 35mm and 17x7.5
Thanks again for the AWESOME help.
Have a great one,

korsou got a reaction from VR6Pete in Clutch failure
Hello Gents,
Hope all is great on your side.
I need some help.
My car has been parked for a while as I live abroad and I recently came back home and wanted to drive my car but had a bad surprise. My clutch seems to be sticking and stays on the floor. What could it be? My car is a 1997 Golf VR6 with a 5 speed. If I am not mistaken the clutch and mater cylinder is the same unit.
Any and all help would be higly appreciated.
Thanks and regards,
Manuel

I have them fitted to my car, 323mm discs with the Brembo calliper. It's a straight fit as long as you have the wee metal packer, I'll post a photo.....
Im not a mechanic nor mechanically minded all I know is I payed a good few quid from buying, restoring to fitting these brakes. Defo worth it though as look super and stop the car very well. Hope this helps you

Hello Richirich37,
I am getting the Brembo kit with rotors and all this weekend. I will keep you Gents posted.
In regards to the wheels I fully agree. Am looking also at the S3 wheels for the car. We will see.
I do agree with little money means rough shape.
I´ll keep all informed
