[/quote'] agree, and i'm pretty sure the jdm 280bhp is on jap ron pump fuel, which is higher than ours, hence when you get an import is has to be mapped for our shite pump fuel before you use it, otherwise its det and bye bye bottom end.

    I have heard of someone who bought that kit as kind of a starter kit, a template as you like and build something a little better from it, the hard work has been done, you just need to make it better .

    Well JDM STI scoobs they come with intercooler spray as standard, pretty widely used concept really, cooling intake temps, charge temps etc. Not sure how well it would work with dry ice and really cold temps like that, kinda hard for all the electronics to compute and keep safe etc maybe?, in my mind quite hard to keep consistant gains maybe?, just good for a launch boost or strip run? .

    i just went to the dealers for OE ones, think the VW ones are the best really, was about £30 if i remember correctly, inc the bearings. not too bad to change, but i still need to get my tracking redone now since the install.

    same, or water solution intercooler sprays etc, have put blocks of ice on my old top mount intercooler before, but never tried to cool air going into an NA intake other than cold air feed etc. NOS kinda gives the same effect

    My father in law has got a mint xk120 and he stores it under a car port under cotton blanket so it can't sweat and so it gets the breeze under it, he swears by that method, the e type gets the warm workshop treatment .
