  1. but you have mk3 ones in there fitted already! think you need a speedo cable from an early corrado vr , and then 2 resistors fitted for the rev counter to work properly
  2. its gonna be shit gary...i reckon 18bhp & 14lb/ft
  3. its not a copper gasket, just metal, its slightly thinner than the standard gasket so increases compression slightly i have one on my vr
  4. I think you'll find your wrong with you comment about Pops and Tommy working for DesignaDubs, as they dont exist anymore, closed down and packed up Like Kevhaywire, i am also sourcing parts for a vr6t, parts i have got from Tom.
  5. not bled the clutch although it does take fluid from the same resovoir, but clutch still works fine, yea bled the master cylinder too! not sure what else to do really! im almost certain its to do with the abs unit but dont know how to do it (if that makes sense)
  6. i have bled the abs unit, it has 2 bleed nipples on the top, did both but do they have to be done in order? the spring (compensator) is fully open!
  7. Hi everyone, need a bit of help if you can, i did the rear bushes on a friends mk3 vr6 its a k plate dizzy model, even has the abs unit under the carpet in the passenger footwell! anyway because i had the beam off i now need to bleed the brake system i must have put about 2-3l of brake fluid through it but cant get any sort of decent pedal feel! i've bleed the master cylinder, the abs unit, and all four calipers with the compensator valve fully open, i was advised to bleed it with the ignition on which i did and made a little bit better but still nowhere near safe enough to be able to drive it
  8. i've seen some mk2's with those as standard!
  9. i used mk3 vr6 clocks in mine, you can use mk2 clocks and put 2 1k resistors in between the coilpack and the rev counter to get it to read correct.
  10. can really feel my vr engine moving about under the bonnet, Between the vibratech & vf engineering front mounts which would you have/is better? i know vibratechnics come as an uprated front mount or competition mount, so obviously the competition is stronger, but how would the vf engineering mount compare to these two?
  11. i got 14.6 in my vr6 (never done 1/4 mile before), engine is a standard 2.9, but the gearbox has a 3.6 final drive and a peloquin diff.

i'd go with peloquin, i've had both a quaife and a peloquin, they are practically identical but the peloquin is so much cheaper than a quaife and comes with the fitting kit which the quaife doesn't
  13. it might be gav but the 2.8 obd2 looks the same as yours from underneath
  14. right, so no actually experience of a 2.9 obd2 inlet? i will be converting my 2.9 vr from obd1 to obd2 soon and thought about cutting my obd2 manifold open just like gav_vr6 is currently doing, i was just curious to see if anyone had actually done this and what results they got with it.
  15. Wrong as someone has already pointed out to you! You can get a 2.9 obd2 manifold! they came on the mk3 vr6 syncro
  16. exactly what the sort of info im after gav_vr6 let me know how you've got on once its done, affects on bhp, driveability etc etc
