    Right people, my polished bits didnt sell so i am going to fit them to my car instead for now, what size torques bit do i use to remove the plastic surround on the engine? Has anyone got these spare Cheers Paul 8)

    Mine had this problem, on the picture that acf818 has posted that assembley is held on buy a sheer bolt, it had come loss so i got a new one from vw for a couple of quid, when you tighten it up you keep going until the bolt bit breaks off, i had to change the hole assembly in the picture but couldn't get the splined bit off the rack, will be trying that again soon, check that sheer bolt mate, opposite side to the ignition barrel Paul

    Going back to my halford days cough, but pioneer (cant spell) used to do a set of components that were a direct replacement for the vr's, sounded really good and weren't to expensive, fitted in great! !lol

    Lol i had the same problems when i did it on my old mk2 G60, that was with zero gauge cable tho !amazed i had cuts on my hands for weeks! :@ still its all fun and games, i miss my left hooker

    Alright boss, think yours will be set out the same? if you move the expansion tank out the way and look lower down where it is there should be a big spare grommet, there was on mine, thats where i ran mine through, cam out under the glove box, guess it will be coming out near the pedals on yours? Paul
