Mines on 49k and dont even think its run in yet, friend of me had a LHD vr6 on 118k and drove it like a madman and it never went wrong. Just do the chains about 110'000 and its all good!

Yea G3 is good mate, and T-cut do a sctrach remover in a red tube for about a fiver from halfords. Its always an idea to give the area you have treated with the scratch remover a quick coat of wax or polish afterwards to keep the paint nice and shiny -
What? Lol 325 auto i am not being funny but is he joking? 1. VR Would have him away off line with a decent launch, 2. Above 70 he will seriously disshapear. The BMW is a big heavy car and being an auto not all of its power is put to the best use. I raced a 330ci a few weeks ago and he caned me off the lights and all through second, but when i got in 3rd got level with him, and kept level with him - he didnt pull, and heard him hit the limiter in 3rd. Bottom line is - your VR would make mincemeant of that car mate!

Best bet is a GTI PD 150 mate, chip and iductiion kit will take it to just under 200bhp and will not break the bank. As mentioned before I would say 250 is a sensible limit for a 1.9 TDI engine.

Apparently the g-tec timer avaliable on ebay is accurate to approx 1%, a few of my mates swear by it. My lastest time was 6.44 seconds with a good launch, and my mate got 6.12 in his 220bhp mk4 anniversary golf - seems about right to me. Think they are about £30? Matt

yea sounds like a plan, go and find a massive pothole mate! (or dig your own) and take a picture of that, as not sure whether a rock in the road as much standing they might claim it has nothing to do with them.

I took me ages to decide I what I want next, First it was a honda civic type r - but then i decided they were to plasticy and i didnt like the interior. Second it was an S3 (still considering ththis with a jabbasport remap), then I looked at S4's - but they do not seem special enough - just a fast saloon and would not want it to ruin the experience of my dream of an RS4 if i ever get one sooo... i have set myself on an Audi RS2. It will either be that or a chipped s3 - whatever is around and what I take a fancy to when i decide to sell my VR. Will be a while though I love my VR

I agree with you to a certain extent buddy, but still think 90% of police are people that got bullied at school who are taking it out on people later in life. You may very well be different. I understand why some cops are pissed off some of the time becuase of the stuff they have to deal with etc and take my hat off to some of them as they do stuff I would not do in a million years.

hmmmmm what i did mate is went with CIS and took out a years policy, but paid it monthly, when i found a cheaper company I cancelled my insurance with CIS. They said had to pay a fee - but tell them no, you where not told this in the 1st place. Then they keep the amount on your account and when you take out another policy they charge you.... BIG DEAL! There are plenty more insurance companies out there and CIS are cocks, so never use them again! Sorted! Hope this helps mate!

My work has IE6, and my laptop IE5, and both have the same problem - when initially loading up it freezes for about 10seconds then displays the page, and when clicking on forum links does the same - a freeze then appears. Nothing major, just seems a bit slower than the old site design thats all.

The new law sucks about them being able to take your car, i went went through a red the other week (only just tunrned red) and he treated me as if I went into his house at xmas and pissed on his kids. He threatend me with a section 59 - thats like they put your car on a list and if you mess up again they take your car off you and you have to pay a big release fee. Twat! His exact words where "i know you think your big in your flash car, showing off to your three mates, but really its very sad" What a nice copper he was.

Hey everyone, Just had a mechanic friend look at my motor and he told me that one of my "anti roll bar linkages" had gone. I have been looking for these on eurocarparts, and cannot seem to find one.... Does anyone thoguh if they are called anyhting else? Also, wondering if anyone new the cause of them going? As the car is still quite low miles. ( Advice appreciated Matt

hmm mite do, my mates dad went to buy one a month or so ago and they said they could not get a 55plate because they were out of production. I know they r defo bringing out a VXR, should be a hoot.

wkd stuff sounds like a good one to hire. they dont make them anymore so not sure if big companies like arrivia and avis will have them. have to try a specialist sports or luxury car hire place maybe. exactly what i was thinking! top gear has so much impact on the motor trade! surely they should do an article on the golf vr6? the 1st hatchback to be graced with a v6 while all the other manufacturers where putting wheezy 4pot's in thier hatches!

I here good things about focus RS's, escpecially when blue-fined. I have also heard storys about heavy torque steer of the line and belive all focus rs's after 53 plate had an uprated LSD. Nevertheless, trust ford not to notice this in the first place and fix the problem later. Lol

It is strange I have seen some right bargain highlines for sale recently, I do not know why VR6's can go so cheap... I cannot find anything I REALLY like to replace mine (apart from an RS2 which is out of budget at the mo!) so I will hang on to mine and hope it appreciates a bit like the corrado
