    i used a grinding disc to scrape the ice off my windscreen on my 80 quid winter minter polo, worked quite well untill i got in to drive!! hav absolutey fecked the windscreen and this time of year when the suns real low it makes driving quite interestin at times!! %-6

    a friend of mine test drove a demo mk5 r32 on friday at our local dealer, he drivesa mk4 r32 at the mo! he was most dissapointed, says its way to refined and makes no noise, defo not the animal it should be! !sad ! theres no way he contemplate changin the mk4 for the new 1!! he says it does look better in the flesh than the pictures on the net but again they`ve held back and not made it stand out and b to different!! which is exactly what the mk4 does!!

    for just a filter thats a very healthy figure altho i would look into it further n see if anythin internal has been done? i`ve got an obd1 wi schrick manifold, schrick cams (260/264`s), miltek, k&n and chip and when first setup made 211bhp at the flywheel!! i no obd2`s make more power but surely not enough to match havin all those mods?? ?!

    i had a severley rotten mk2 fiesta 1.4s, bigger weber carb, kent cam, ashley exhaust, rollcage, sparco seats ( cost more than double the car!! %-6 ), harnesses and pepperpots!, yes i actually bought a set!! and the best bit, the springs were cut down to less than half!! i had all the rite bits just picked the worst shell possible, was a fun car to drive tho, used to beat xr2`s no bother!! ended up in a ditch after bein a bit to adventurous wi the liftoff oversteer, was good practice tho!! it cost me 200 to buy the original car and over a grand to insure!! %-6

    ha, no what u mean bout the posin bit bud, but i`m not fussed i no in a couple months i`ll hav the vr back all shiny n smooth wi new shiny wheels! !lol rat look is the style people go for with old beetles n campers! suppose u could call it the just been found in a barn look!! 8)

    got myself a cheap runner for the winter last week!! already saved heaps on fuel bills!! its a 1litre road eater, 4 speed racing box, quick rack(okay so no power steering !shy ) cost me the measly sum of 80quid and its got a years test and 6 months tax!! !lol its pretty shit but everything works and its perfect whilst the vr is at the bodyshop gettin pampered!! all ready got big plans for it next year, think i`m goin down the rat look with this 1, possibly twin carbs!! watch this space!

    thats probably my fave mk3 ever, looks very oem but still cool as feck!!! theres no way i can see some dirt on it tho (bottom of passenger door) must just be a mark on my monitor!!

    if u can put up a detailed pic of the bracket and sizes etc i could easily make u 1 up bud, but seein as i don`t hav a bmc(yet) i`ll need all the dimensions!! cheers

    when u tig weld stainless it disscolours due to the heat, tends to go dark blue-purple looks black in certain light, the only way it could b rusting is if the stainless has been impregnated with mild steel( e.g grinding sparks from mild steel) but then that would take a while to show on the stainless, if u can hold of some scotchbrite(steel wool) u can try cleanin the welds to remove the colour but always rub with the grain or you`ll ruin the finish!! done it many a time at work :?

    decided to connect up my heated seats finally, ran the loom in and connected it up bar the 3 plugs for the fuse box i think? does any1 no where these 3 go as i`m stuck!! cheers

    hey bud, if u still havent decided in a few weeks my car will be off the road fro winter by then so u could try mine on to see what they look like?? been offerred a belter of a 1 litre polo for a winter hack so the vr is bein garaged!!

    got my quote through bell direct, my vr is insured through them aswell for 700 fully comp. they seem to come out tops everytime for me!! they must like me! i would hav a clean license but i got done 2 hours after pickin up my vr !shy i`ve always been against havin finance, prefer my car bein all mine! but theres no way i could afford an R32 without it! !sad

    was on the autotrader website for a browse as usual and thought i`d try some quotes on different cars, u no the usual, tvr`s, porsches, R32`s which is where it got very interestin, i got quoted

    i`m in the eagle f1 gang also!! just away to purchase 4 205/40/17 eagle f1`s for my new wheels, looks like my family ain`t gettin any xmas presents this year!! !lol

    i can get 4 brand new mk4 golf steelies, my boss upgraded to alloys and kept the steels! he wants shot of them!! only thing is i`m up in scotland!!

    i`m a stainless steel, aluminium and sheet metal fabricator welder, its okay for homers and it pays the bill`s! i`ve just finished my apprenticeship and now fancy doin somethin totaly different!!

    i just dropped off my front bumper for smoothin and paintin today, am gettin exactly the same done as your intendin warren. the friend thats doin it says to come up next week and see it before paintin so i`ll get some pics up and ask how he did it!! i`m not the greatest at bodywork and he owes me a favour and its his job otherwise i`d be takling it myself!!
