  1. How about a weekend meet down south, i know of an excellent location, the hotel my missus and i used to run has a nice big car park and would be delighted to accomodate us. be nice to just meet for drinks.. how many people can get to Salisbury eaisily?

You know the little alloy rings that go inbetween the alloy and the hub face to line up the alloy/center it? i only have 1 and i need four got tires fitted today and was all excited about getting my rims on and found these were missing... where can i get replacements ? the wheels are BBS RXII's Can i fit the wheels without them or will they be wobbly?   4. hes in south newton, near wilton , salisbury. i'm getting carbon/shiney caps from vw as ones on standard wheels are a bit naff! not sure what im doing with yhe old wheels, might keepp em as have 4 new tyres on em and are only recently refurbed themselves. i.m typing this with the baby on my lap on a pillow as its the only place he will settle! wifey needs a good sleep as she is tearful and ratty hormones all over the shop
  5. got my wheels back from the refurbishers.. only charged me a tenner per wheel for blasting out the corrosion and powder coating said he'd do other club members a good price too for the same job, hes in wiltshire, ill post his details in the suppliers section soon! so all in these wheels have cost , £215 , refurb £40 , tyres £220 so about £500 all in not bad, they are 17" BBS RXII splits... oh and got to pick up some center caps from the VW dealers tomorrow... no idea how much they'll cost &| here are some pic's (no tyres on yet) what do you think??

  11. Have been looking at, Toyo 205/40/17 ZR (84W)Proxes T1-S @ £62.50 Ea or Falken ZIEX ZE-512 RF @ £60 Ea Which ones are better? i dont want anything too soft but dont want to end up in the bushes! Are the prices good?

Mine are the clear/frosted types and are cracked where can i get repcements from ? how much are genuine VW replacements? any funky type replacements? also what current can the lighting system take ? if i were to go for more powerful bulbs? i know some tolerance must be available, dont want a fire tho

  15. well im getting my bbs splits chrome powder coated this weekend ... i have no idea what it will look like but i'm advised that it will look good ill post pics as soon as i get em back! has anyone else heard of powder coating with chrome effect paint? cos i havent! (its a hell of a lot cheaper than chrome plating!) %-6 [ Edited ]

  18. got some bbs rxii 's at the refubishers hopfully be on in a couple of weeks .. what tyre brand would you reccomend looking at toyo's and falkens at the moment.

  21. its really easy, but alas i forgot to take any pictures .. may remove top cover again and take some piccies tho..

Thought i'd try and locate and clean the Hall sender yesterday, Found it eaisily, under the plastic top cover RHS of engine. whipped it out and it was indeed covered with a film of dried on oil. cleaned it with a damp cloth till nice and shiny, and cleaned the electricla contacts back to brite metal with a bit of scotch brite and a screwdriver. Re-installed the lot and WOW! having the car only a few weeks and thinking it was fast! damn! its even faster and totally smooth now! goes like a rocket! I can even drive in 5th Gear at 1000 rpm and accelerate without it jumping and spluttering! Best
