OK what have you replaced on your VR's thro breakage? i've had mine about 4 months... ive replaced.. Serpentine Belt Belt tensioner Water Pump Coil pack Exhaust Just want to get a feel for what are common faults... i have been spending about £100 PCM on parts so far on mine.. lucky i'm not too bad with the old spanners.. hate to think what it would cost at main dealer! Chris.

the thin wire on the RCA's isnt an earth its used for the remote signal to turn your amps on!

its bad down the bottom idle to about 2000 rpm missing and jumping... i dont think its a leak to earth as such just a weak spark.... what are peoples views on the beru coil packs from eurocarparts?? any good???

ok i have a bad misfire and there is a weak spark from one of the outputs of the coilpack i think... measured the resistance of the leads and they were all about 6K ohms is this ok? all the terminals on the coil pack spark when a lead is removed apart from one which appears to have a weaker spark... can these things be taken apart at all as the inside of the suspect one feels gungy.. i cant see in the end to be sure... is there a definitve way of checking coil pack / leads so i can be sure... i dont want to replace it and still have the same problem! when all it could be was a lead! sorry if

My wife borrowed the VR yesterday to go and see her family in Taunton, with my 10 week old son in the back of the car safely in his car seat. When she arrived back at home she was in a right mess after some chav w@nkers in a peugeot had tried to race her and cut her up about 8 times on the journey back down the A303 (dual carriage way) you know overtake cut back in type of arsing about trying to get her to race.... She nearly crashed when the road reduced to 1 lane and the raced past to get in front. she got their number plate and we will be reporting them to the police.. Why do these w@nkers

The BBS Carbon/silver center caps are in short demand thro VW. I know as i had one of the last sets in the country according to the main stealer! best bet is contacting BBS direct probably be cheaper.. just email them at www.bbs.com they speak very good english and are Uber efficent Devilfish

ok after a bit of ahem.. fast driving back from no rice last night my oil temp hit 108 deg is this too high? also did some VR's have oil coolers fitted? can this be retro fitted to mine easily? Regards Chris

ok so have been on eurocarparts and orderd my stuff for the service .. ordered a fuel filter cos it listed one... now where is it ? cand seem to locate where it is? Regards Chris.
