  1. Not got the part number but if you ring your local dealers the engine is called a CD6 in the Galaxy (Compact Displacement) although the parts guy should know the engine weather you call it a CD6 or VR6, also remember that that the engine changed in the Galaxy in 2000 from the 12V to the 24V version, not sure if the pump changed in anyway with the different engines?
  2. The point is in the name of the of the company, not only are you pre warned of Gatso's, Truvelo's, DS2's, mobile units favourite hang outs ~ but also of accident BLACKSPOTS, if like me you drive a lot of miles for your job and in area's your not local to then this info is a good thing to have the new RA2 is available with or without the laser detector, I run two RA1's, both have the optional laser alert kit fitted, to be honest, if it goes off! then it's too late your knicked! the only way to beat laser is to run a jammer or a set of false plates or to stick to the limit! Having 6 point
  3. OK hows this then to get things started VIPER STRIPES &|
  4. IIRC a VW changed the thernostat houseing on the 12V due to the original platic version being prone to warping fron the heat would anyone know the part number for the modified part as I cant find it on ETKA, I read a post somewhere on this topic way, but I cant find it now I need it for the part number for a friends VR6 thanks in advance
  5. Also if you change any metalic parts that come into contact with the coolant you need to replace the coolant as it looses it protective properties!
  6. Any chance of the part number? as the sympton described are exactly the same as the ones I have ~ very jerky on off throttle, hanging throttle on over run 1600/2000 rpm! erratic idle and variable flat spots ~ had the codes read and they pointed to the throttle position sensor :? but I was told by both VW and Ford that it wasnt available as a seperate item but only with the throttle body &| which isnt cheap! thanks in advance
  7. Some VR6's have an ISV fitted, my mk2 Golf does, but if one is not fitted what controls the idle speed? I understand that the ECU receives a voltage signal from the potentiometer on the throttle body and using this adjusts the fuel air mix to suit the throttle opening, but how is the amount of air controlled when the engine is at rest?
  8. apparently so according to their website and I rang one of the UK companies that deal in them http://www.ccctech.co.uk/index.php £285 fitted on my driveway! I just wondered if anybody else has had one done and was pleased with it before I stumped up the cash!
  9. Has any body had one of there chips fitted? if so what are the results like? any good ?I know the TDI boys rave about them but what are they like on petrol engines ?!
