  1. there are 3 bolts underneith the airbag, and it just slots in the top i think. you will have to remove the lower glovebox to fit the airbag.
  2. but how much is the tarox six pot kit? not anything like the
  3. sorry but i cant see how that works as the grille is flat with a curve, but the mk3 bumper sticks out further than the grille/lights. it just wouldnt look right. can we get some side on pics?
  4. these are 7.5x16 and are et41. so a lil wider but less offset, but some nice adaptors should see them stuffed into my arches. got a bargain at
  5. anybody got pictures of a set of these fully polished, or black/granite with a polished lip. just got a steal on the bay and have been given a bargain quote for a full "see your spots/do your hair in em" finish.
  6. is the car a later vr6 like 95 onwards, as there is a thing called drive by wire lag, which basically means that the throttle pot isnt turning fast enough when the pedal is pressed so feels realy unresponsive. try removing the throttle sensor and gleaning it with carb cleaner. may just be grimed up.
  7. nah, my 93 had a square plug similar to that one for the lambda sensor, not sure if it had the same colours though. id say lambda.
  8. just a quick one nick. when they sprayed the car, did they remove the roof and interior, or did the fold it back and mask it all off, or leave it up and mask it off? how did they go about it? looks very nice. surprised you didnt have the handle removed like.
  9. its not the disc size that is the problem. with 330mm discs they go in 17s ok, but its the cact the the calipers are so fat you would need a massive dish inside the wheel to get htem in without caching the back of the face. 312s seem to be the best all round solution, and you can get the parts for around
  10. yeah i was offered that too but the r32 bumper has been and gone now, expect to see it on the front of a mk3 very soon. ive actually had my vento gear and smooth bumpers painted now, so im just sticking with that for now. im due a respray in the new year so may look into the r32 then. what you going for then? the german one from ebay?
  11. how about a modded r32 front end. i was offered an already shortened bumper that still needed some catty work, but couldnt find the lights or wings at the time, then decided to keep my vento front. would have been a sweet one.
  12. is it wolkswagen audi group, or volkswagen auto group??? never actually found out.
  13. i think theyre illegal, need to get those arches pulled, lol
  14. http://i11.photobucket.com/albums/a174/antera309/Nicks%20front%20bumper%20dilemma/vents.jpg id go for the standard one with these vents, and some lower bonrath ones, all smothed in, with the swage lines deleted too. this way you can keep the numberplate recess, and have a total smooth looking bumper, without indicators. im sure the bodyshop can manage that, although the intakes will be a bit awkward to smooth, but will look very trick when done. alternatively, this looks fairly nice http://cgi.ebay.de/VW-Golf-3-Clean-Style-Front-Spoiler-Stossstange-NEU_W0QQitemZ8007806301QQcategoryZ40207QQrdZ
  15. first time round was a split second piggy back unit. but i couldnt get it to tune properly, so went for the emerald stand alone ecu.
  16. if were on about what to add to the coolant. use g12+ as that is a coolant/antifreeze mix. so you souldnt need to add anything else.
  17. still not too sure about the bov thing as mine ran crappy with one, and i had installed a split second piggy back, which even uses its own MAP sensor, so i removed the maf as it wasnt being used. it was still really lumpy till i installed the maf again and the recirc dv. but you would really have to try it i guess. not too much hassle to change back. id like some more info/pics of this if you will. just to be nosey. im actually interested in how the i/c is set up as mines been a ball ache. as you obviously know ive been round the block with this so if anyone wants any advice or info before buy
  18. aks a friend to borrow their garage. lol. then remove the relays so they dont take it for a spin, lol.
  19. oh, btw. you also wont be able to run an atmospheric dump valve with the standard ecu remapped or with a chip fitted. as you will be losing already metered air and your car will run lumpy and stall at low revs. (trust me, ive experienced it) the only way that is possible is with a stand alone system running an MAP sensor as this judges the volume of air by pressure, not by the flow. just another note yto those interested. sounds liek a decent kit though. i would also like to see the pictures as im interested in the intercooler setup, and would like to see the manifold too. so hurry up man. lol
  20. no it wont.... the boost created by a turbo is forced through the manifold in a different manner. a s/c progressively builds from vacuum to boost so the schrick can alter its state correctly, with a turbo on a vr6 the boost basically goes from vacuum to 8/9psi right away, meaning that the boost will be there from well before the schrick switch point, so the schrick tries to switch with the boost before its meant to and you end up with the schrick opening and closing very rapidly, and well before the rpm band your after. then you will end up with the valve of the schrick breaking. its been docu
  21. thats where the heaters come in, lol
  22. id still get a bike, but just dont ride like an a hole...
  23. it would be the subframe and rear axle mounting points, mine was up there for about 3 months while i messed around with the conversion. didnt budge at all and theyre the strongest parts of the car. also, go over the susspension and brakes etc with some degreaser before you go, as then no dirt can get grimed on there, never to come off.
