  1. Some says vw motorsport vsr inlet manifold better than schrick vsr inlet manifold,some says the other way round,so which is better for vr6?
  2. At the moment i am using techtonics tuning(TT)cam chip for my vr6,i have been offer an use eip tuning stage-3 chip according to the seller it is the best chip for na vr6 and the reason he letting go the eip chip is because he fitted turbo to his vr6.

  5. I have been offer a vr6 lighten flywheel for my golf vr6,so before i start the conversion i would like the member in this forum to advise me is it a good idea to do that?Any bad point and side effect like vibration and so on! Thank You.
  6. I beleive the without CAT lamda sensor (021-906-265) will gain some performance for the vr6 because the emission control from the non cat lamda sensor is not so tight no CAT to taken care of.(hope i am right)
  7. The reason i post this topic is because my parts supplier out of stock of this oid type vr6 oil filter and ask me to get the new type vr6 oil filter,according to him both oil filter will work fine for vr6 engine and i am wondering 1
  8. Refer to ETKA the early vw golf mk3 vr6 is using 021-115-562 engine oil filter but the late vw golf mk3 vr6 is using 021-115-562A engine oil filter ,is it any harm if the early vr6 use the late vr6 oil filter?

As topic above if put this two vw vr6 together is the rado vr6 2.9 is it going to spin alot faster than the golf mk3 vr6 2.8?My plan is to change my vw golf mk3 vr6 2.8 engine to corrado vr6 2.9engine is it a good idea to do it?Is it worth the effort and cost for the gain inperformance?Please advise?
  11. Soon my vr6 is going for clutch job,so i plan to change to to lighten flywheel and would like the member in this forum to advise is it a good idea to do it?So people told me if fitted with lighten flywheel with face driving up hill power drop problem is it true? Thank You.
  12. As topic above,lately i saw some information regarding how to tune vr6 back to factory spec. if you have replace thorttle body,idling valve and other sensor from the engine,you need to use the vag-1551 to do adaptation and basic setting and i wanted to know what is that? Thank You.
  13. So if change to a non cat lamda sensor for cat remove vr6 should gain some low end power , the non cat lamda will tune vr6 engine to run slightly rich because don't have any cat to protect.

Recently i just discover VW have two type of lamda sensor for vr6 obd-1 engine,those with CAT vr6 is using 021-906-265A or B lamda sensor and those non CAT vr6 is using 330-906-265 lamda sensor so my vr6 already CAT remove so if i change to non CAT lamda sensor will i gain extra performance?From what i know those CAT lamda sensor will tune vr6 to run lean fuel inorder to protect the CAT.
  15. The reason for me to increase my vr6 idling speed to 950 rpm is much more faster take off at city stop and start driving and much more cooler air condition system because the air condition compressor is running at higher speed at idling.
  16. As topic above,i have refer to the manual say that the vr6 idling speed CANNOT adjust is control by the ecu programe running at 650rpm at idling,i am wondering is it any way to adjust the idling speed for example like the g60 adjunt the ISV and so on!
  17. Thanks for reply,the upgrade i already done to my vw golf mk3 vr6 is schrick vsr inlet manifold,cat 256 performance camshafts,abt exhaust system CAT remove,corrado vr6 2.9 thorttlebody,k&n panel air filter,so please advise what is the next step i should do?
  18. As topic above,I am plan to get this AUTOTHORITY chip for my vr6 and claim by the company webpage this is the best chip for vr6,most of the other performance chip only tune for full thorttle performanceonly .All comment are welcome.Thank You.

As topic above!I already check with a few vr6 parts dealer all replys no replacement parts for the hall sender have to replace the complete vr6 distributor but i think is not logic because my vr6 distributor is perfect working candition the main shaft is fine the only problem is the hall sender not working!Please help?

I am wondering what is the problem with my vr6,if i don't switch on my vr6 air con everything is find but if i switch on the air con the idling won't be stable normally will drop to about 250rpm and up to about 650 rpm than drop down to 450 rpm and back to 650 rpm up and down for a few times than only the idling became stable and i already service the isv,thorttle body but still the same if i switch off the air con the idling became perfect won't drop below 650rpm why?Please assist!

I am planing to change my vw golf mk3 vr6 thorttle body to vw corrado vr6 2.9 big throat and wanted to know by doing this will i gain some bhp and torque?I saw one article not long ago one mk3 vr6 2.8 onwer change his mk3 vr6 inlet manifold to the vw corrado vr6 2.9 inlet manifold the result worst torque than the original manifold and not much gain at top end bhp so!
  23. I done this before but the other way round put a mk3 16v ABF white face cluster to my mk3 vr6 all the gauge work fine except the tacho meter show slower rpm than what it should be anyone here knows how to overcome this problem?
