  10. Ok guys and girls, the time has come for me to part with my wheels. They have never been curbed hence no markings other than very slight water ingression marks on the polished lacered rims. Toyo proxes t1s tyres all round, cost me
  11. sounds like another clutch pedal has failed, sorry to hear it mate, know first hand what its like. New pedal is around
  12. this has recently happened to me. Out of interest how many miles do you guys have on the clock? Mine has just hit 75,000 so the clutch has definately seen better days, I'm thinking that as its an old clutch it requires more pressure now to depress the pedal hence why this happens. Although there is no excuse for such a poorly designed clutch pedal. Spot welded!!!!
  13. Anyone going from Surrey? I will be making an appearance. Vince
  14. You can get a cleaner from Halfords or the like, you just put the ac on recirculate and spray an aerosol into the cabin.
  15. Its in your engine bay by the way, it is normal.
  16. Sounds to me its your electric coolant run on pump your refering to.
  17. The light will only be on when the fault is active, so if it goes out you have an intermittant fault. For your info I have a simular problem. I'm lucky enough to own vag com so I know exactly what the fault is. The fault on mine is down to an intermittant signal from the ABS hydraulic pump & I only get this fault (light on) once in a blue moon. For piece of mind if the light isn't on your ABS should be working fine.
  18. I have to agree with Dubloke, I'm no so sure that video is authentic, just seems a little too quick to me. If it is for real, that is some awesome car!
  19. Cheers acf. I picked up a tool from the US last time I was there for winding the rears, should make life easyer. I guess the bearings will just need pressing in??
  20. VW have just made me £311 lighter after purchasing discs & pads (front & rear) and rear wheel bearings. Steep I thought but I wanted to stick to OE bits as there tried and tested. Just wanted to hear from someone who's replaced these all round to find out if you came across any problems? Also does anyone know what type of grease VW use to lubricate the abs sensors? I enquired about it (as the part number was quoted in the Bently manual) and they wanted £30 for it! So you can guess what I said to that! Must be a cheaper equivalent??? Cheers in advance Vince
