  1. Or you could take the maf out of its housing and re-mount it in your new pipe
  2. Its a pressure valve for the rocker cover. Your correct, the vw ones come as part of the intake pipe. My advise is to go to ford and get one for a galaxy vr, they sell em seperate and for about £20 iirc
  3. Take it to another mot station mate, most will pass it, if all else fails; bring it down our way as most of the mot stations are cool about things like that..lol
  4. you say alarm/immobiliser so how are you driving the car? or do you just mean the alarm does the full closuer work on the key........have you checked the battery in the key fob ?!
  5. I’d leave them under the scuttle panel as your gon’a need them for the mot
  6. they are really the same spec as a highline, but you had a colour concept with leather Recaros
  7. not sure how offically imported they were but you got 3 on this forum that i know of....one live just round the corner from me !lol

    VR6 vs VRS

i cant really comment on the vrs but there's not a lot in it between a chipped 1.8t ibiza which i'd say is much quicker than the octavia power to weight so my money would go on the vr tbh......ive had a couple of rip's with modded 1.8t mk4 again very close but ive had the edge.
  9. Adam, like i said to you at the pod...cover up the alarm as they dont like water and try to keep the coilpack as dry as possibe, ht leads so on...the rest of the engine is quite waterproof...........if it was'nt you be breaking down every time it rained...ive been jetwashing my engine for year's with out any problems what so ever...you've got my number if you wana give me a call about it
  10. Why dont you try clean one up (possible remove it )...you might be able to see a name or something...a full set of coilovers will cost you at least £300 quid for some cheapies..a mate of mine just replaced one of his for £100 quid.....they were fk koni sports..post up a picture if you can...just a thought
  11. If your a bit heavy handed taking them out then yes that can happen ~ You can get the speed sensors from g&s or euro car parts for about £35 quid for the front and about £60 for the rears...they tend to be a bit more from main dealers though
  12. Ive got koni coilovers on the vr, they are ride and rebound adjustable, tbh there not that harsh at all on the softest setting On the other hand the avo kit on my mark 2 is like rock, it does depend on what make you go for, ive been in a fair few vw's running sports shocks and springs and wouldn’t say they are any softer than my kit...once you've fitted an aftermarket kit you must have the camber and tracking set. I paid about £50 quid to have that done at elite in Essex a couple of years ago, but ive known people to pay up to £100 quid, it just depends where you go As for tyres, Toyo's a
  13. I’d keep it black Warren but that’s just my personal opinion
  14. They sound like fk supersport, most of the tuning companies in pvw or golf+ deal with fk..I looked in to getting the coilovers on my mk2 refurbished by avo but they don’t work out much cheaper than buying them new, i'd say your better off getting a replacement strut
  15. 108 is quite normal if your driving it hard...ive seen 110 on a number of occasions...mine runs at around 100 on motorways 80-90mph
  16. Thats been around for a little while now....mental mk2 though !amazed 8) 8)
  17. the cars a bit to fast and furious for my tastes but I can see you must have put a hell of a lot of work and money into the project....well done mate for being different and at the end of the day as long as you like it that’s all that matters
  18. happy birthday claire... but i thought you turned 30 some years ago only kidding
  19. my vr used to be daily driver but now it only comes out of a weekend !shy
