Hi there.... They run well with mods or no mods to be honest, however with each mod you will have to get the ECU remapped. coupled with cams and a schrick VGI, you will be running some nice power...... 270BHP + I recon with cams and VGI... not many standard VR6's run at 174BHP to be honest so you will will probably find with a good map you will be well into to 250BHP region. Reliable.... depends on how hard you drive it!

plus you can get a big valve gas flowed head for like a grand anyway! there are plenty of heads/engines on ebay....

a new head? wow, thats extreme! Apparently only 3 cylinders are running to correct compression sure your not loosing compression through the head gasket?

That sounds a little to cheap mate, Contact Stealth Racing (www.stealthracing.co.uk) They do head overhauls for 600 notes, I'm getting them fit me a Big Valve Head, Cams on the other hand.... a new set will set you back about 500 sheets at least! P.S - you posted in the wrong section of the forum

for 285 quid mate, your not far off having a piggyback dastek ECU.... which will be mapped specificially for you car, much better than these off the shelf chips if your planning ther mods n stuff..
