Am i correct in thinking they are pretty cheap? Saw some for about £500 for the kit. COmpared to SC and Turbo thats pretty cheap anyway. I would like one, I think VR is quick enough for everyday use, but now and then it would be nice to surprise a few Scoobies- the bain of my life!!! Would that do the trick?

basic setup cost me 300 second hand, ran 25bhp jets to settle it in and then upgraded to 50's (makes a hell of a difference! the 25's can barey be felt! The basic system has a single 'fogger' or injection point that is installed in the manifold before the throttle body. The system pictured above is a direct port or wet system (i think, & please correct me if i'm wrong folks!) which is better for major horse gains but not advised on stock internals! currently i am running 75's with a progressive controller through a single fogger injection point.

The hp rating of the jets varies on bottle pressure so try and allow for bottle warmer when budgeting! i'm using a wizards of nos setup, which is pretty good, and their technical support is 2nd to none!

Looked at on e of the kits on the bay. Good price, but the more i read about it the more i think i need a spare engine laying around. I just know I would get over excited and forget to shut it off!!! Would your average monkey mechanic know what to do with it if i gave him the box and my keys?

im running a wet system by wizz of nos i was runing 150 bhp with a controller it is direct port in jection started off with 25 bhp but it is very addictive!!!!!! if you do it right your engine wont blow up !! now its got a turbo and the nos

hello their m8,a friend of mine ad a mk2 gti wiv a 2.9 vr lump in,wanted more power so he ad a 50bhp kit fitted by a place in wickford,essex.2 tell the truth i thought it woz a waste of money,dont fink he ever ad the tank refilled after the first 1 ran out(MUST OF BIN THAT GOOD) :)

i pay about 55 for a 11 lb bottle, get a bit expensive with 3! but you can deff. notice the difference on 75 jets so god knows what 150's on direct port are like!?? - brings my 1/4 mile up by about 3/4 second.

markiev6, what sort of power you running with a blower? are you going up to the summer fest at the pod on the 9th??

it should be about 650bhp at the crank the engine has had a total rebuild and is rated for 745bhp !! got all the stuff from the US and the guy i got all the pistons, rods etc... has the same set up and is runing 800 bhp. Im hoping to go to gti fest should be fully run in by then so i want to get some track action in !!forgot to say its vr6T syncro will post some photos when i find my camera
