Yep, it's self tensioning mate. It's about a ten minute job, if that. Took me about ten mins to replace the tensioner and the belt.Try it yourself, all you need is an M8 or M7 bolt (can't remember which),bout 75mill long and wind into the hole on the tensioner to take the tension off the belt. The belt then just pulls off, cost maybe 25pence for a bolt for the tensioner. :-d

You will need and M8 bolt like JImbo said about 75mm long. I changed mine, pretty easy to do if a little awquward (spell check?!). My tensioner went about two weeks later though!! Since then i found out you can strip them and regrease the bearings in the plastic pulley! Which i think would be well worth it as the tensioner comes as one and cost £125 from stealer and £75 from GSF!!!! So worth worth ten minutes of your time to pack it with grease!!! I posted a guide on the forum if you do a search. Was in the last month or two.

DIY store, M8 refers to the diameter of the bolt, being 8mm.If i remember correctly this should fit a 13mm socket perfectly. does not need to be exact 75mm long but it does need to be quite long as otherwise you wont be able to get it down far enough to un tension the belt.

Theres 3 bolts holding the tensioner in place remove any one of the bolts. Place the bolt in threaded hole in the tensioner and wined it in to realse the tension from the belt.

Change the belt

Relase the bolt form the tensioner and place it back where you took it out of earlier
