Been spending some time on the detailing world to learn some better skills, so that i can wash and dress the car properly to avoid scratches and swirls.Didn't realise that there was a lot of basic things you cand do when washing the car to avoid putting swirls on. And also polishes and sealents that can be applied to bring the best out of your paintwork.

Heres a picture of the bonnet with a few swirls

But after a few passes with a proper polishing machine and Pro Detailer i think the pics speak for them self.

The bonnet took a few hours to do as we had to start with the least aggerisive polish and work up till we were happy with result.

The person who is doing my car will be holding a detailing day where you can try sample produts on your car and teaching proper detailing techniques to show your cars off at the shows if anyone is intrested.

I'm to lazy for all that shit but looking at the results you get looks like it is WELL worth all the hard work that get's put in.

Reflections on the bonnet are Soooooo much better when you are done.

I use Meguirs stuff and notice they also have a 3 stage polishing kit. Would this achieve roughly the same results?

Would be very interested in a demo day :-)

Mark.

Meguiars 3 stage is good but will only hide the swirls for a while and you won't be able to remove any swirls with it. You will need to have the car polished by a machine to get rid of the swirls, and then learn better washing tecquiniues to prevent future swirls happening.

I'll let you know when the detailing day is happening ;)
