vdubgirl 3
Please read info from the organisersI am delighted to say that we have had a very strong response from clubs for the special displays/parking areas. We already have more than 500 cars booked for the sites. The amount of ground which we allocate to each club will depend on the num,ber of vehicles which have been booked in. If you have booked space for say 10 vehicles its is no good if 15 turn up - there just wont be the room for them. Its not to late to ley us know if you want to fit additional cars on your plot, but we will need to know in the next 7 days.We havr now decided that all cars which have club parking passes hanging from there interior mirros will follow the special route inside the prving ground which will be used by traders and exibitors. THis should mean that cars booked into the club sites will reach there allocated plots more easily. It will be necessary for all occupants of each car to have entry tickets and we are hoping that as many of your memebers as possible will have these in advance. This is because those turning up without advance tickets wil hacve to buy them at the entrance to the special route and this will inevitably cause delays for those behind. Because of this I would ask you to urge your members to book in advance - it means that they get discoount as well as avoiding unnecassary delays. We have beeen asked whether cars will be able to leave the club areas in order to participate in thge spint ot tyre testing. This will certainly be permitted, but great carer will be needed. The area will be apcked with visitors. For this reason we will probabyl have marshals who will guide your club memebers into the holding areas for the sprint and tyre testing. We want to have as few restrictions as possible at GTI international bu tther are two which have to insist on:Each club must take care that it does not stray over the marked dividing line into the next plot We have seen this happen elsewhere and it creates alot of bad feeling. Please make sure that all your memebers keep within the confines of your plot. The other restriction concerns barbeques We have given an asbsolute undetaking to the owners of the proving ground that no barbeques will be used at the event. we hope that your members will understand this and not use barbeques of any sort. If they are seen being usedf out fire officr wont hesitate to extinguish them!A word about the inter club compettions. There hass not been much enthusiam for any of them apart from the tug of war. In view of this we will concentrate on this one competition and we will be letting you know what arrangements for it nearer the weekend. The tug of war will almost cetainly take place in the main display area wherer there will be plenty of spectators so it might be worth your team dressing up specially!!!!There you go peeps theres an update please take time to read it specially seeing i put you all in for the tug of war

Buzzark 0
I know, stripped all the wax off my car yesterday and switched to a paint sealant instead in preparation. Wanted to get that done before the event, not moved house still so had to do it while dodging traffic! :0Still got the bumpers to do as it decided to rain, but I'm most of the way there.
